“Phew,” Hope says. “Though you’d have enough hands to help with a kid when you started your career.”

For a second, I can almost picture a child with different parts of all the men I love. But that would never happen. Each child would be me and only one of the men I love. A devilish little boy with thick red hair and Wyatt’s dark eyes. A playful girl with light brown hair and Drew’s smile. A tall, quiet, handsome boy with blond hair and pale blue eyes. And a mischievous little girl with green eyes like Finn’s and my red hair.

It’s a future I could buy into. Being with all of them. But right now… I sigh and lift my gaze to Madison’s and Hope’s.

“I’m scared to move out of my parents’ townhouse and in with the guys on a permanent basis.” The words make my chest feel heavy and a lump settles in my stomach. “I mean, this is what I should want, right?”

Madison sets her glass down and reaches for my hands. She holds both of them and searches my eyes. “You’ve been through a lot, Sara. Your relationship happened quickly, which is awesome, but that can be scary. The last time you put yourself out there with someone was your friend in high school. You can take a minute to yourself if you need to.”

“I don’t want to disappoint my guys.”

“They’ll understand if you’re all open and honest about what you want. You might go back to your parents’ and be here again after a day, or maybe it will take you a week or a month or a year. But that’s okay too. You can take your time and not rush into this. Your guys will understand.”

“They do,” I say quietly. “They’ve said it, but what if… ”

“Your guys aren’t Verity, Sara.” Madison squeezes my hands. “They’ve been with you your whole life. They’re not going anywhere. You have time.”

I draw in a deep breath and release it. “Thank you. I needed to hear that.”

She draws me into a hug. “Anytime.”

When I pull away, I grab the wine and empty it between all of our glasses.

“So.” I raise my eyebrows. “Can we talk positions?”

Chapter 20

With Recourse

Wyatt

I step out of the shower and find Sara sitting on the counter waiting for me. This is the Jack and Jill bath I share with Dante’s room, so I’m a little surprised to find her here. Her long legs dangle against the cabinets. Her feet are bare. She has on jeans and a light sweater that falls off one shoulder.

Wrapping my towel around my waist, I don’t resist the urge to walk over and kiss the skin bared for me. Soft and warm. That’s what Sara is for me.

Her thumb brushes over the beginning of a bruise on my jaw. I lift my gaze to hers.

“Did you work things out?” Her eyes are curious but she’s not reproachful of us hitting each other. She grew up with us fighting and tending to our wounds.

“It’s a start.” I straighten and step to my sink beside her. “Did you need something, trouble?”

She sighs. “Do you think everyone will be okay with me returning to the townhouse when my parents get back?”

I rest my hand on her thigh. “Whatever you need. We don’t want to rush you into anything.”

She smiles. “I waited so long to be here, and now that I’m here...”

I step between her knees and slide my hands to cradle her head as I search her pale green eyes. “It’s fast because we all love you, but we’re not going to force you to stay here with us, Sara. If you need time, take it. Do I want you in my bed every night? Hell, yes. But we’re here because of you. We’re here for you.”

“I love you, Wyatt,” she says softly. Her eyes brimming with love.

“I love you, trouble. You need time. Take it. Because once I get you back, I’m never letting you out of my arms again.” I lower my mouth and claim hers.

She opens beneath me, letting me deepen the kiss. Her hands slide up my rib cage to my chest. It’s been a while since I’ve had her to myself. Surprisingly, I love sharing her with the others.

Right now though, I just want her. I pull back and lift her sweater off over her head. Her darkened eyes watch me as I remove her bra. Freckles trail down over her chest. I long to kiss every one of them and make them mine.

This need to claim her only gets fiercer the more I have her.
