Myth stared at him. “You’re fucking arguing about this again?”
“Yes.”
Myth rolled his eyes but took a bite of the pizza. “Yes,” he drawled.
Taco slapped the table. “Thank you!”
Myth walked away, then Bone came out.
I felt him before I looked. Which was stupid because it wasn’t like I had some magical Bone radar, but my attention shifted toward the hallway anyway.
His eyes found me immediately and stayed there.
I smiled.
His expression didn’t change much, but I caught the slight lift at the corner of his mouth.
He walked over. “Having fun?”
“Your club has very strong opinions about pizza.”
“Don’t get involved.”
“Too late,” Taco said. “Hazel, pineapple. Yes or no?”
I looked at Bone. “Is there a right answer?”
“No.”
“Yes,” Taco said.
“Shut up.”
I looked at the pizza. “Yes.”
Taco threw both hands into the air. “Fuck yes!”
Humpty pointed at me. “I liked you.”
“You still like me.”
“Less now.”
“I’m devastated.”
Bone’s hand landed on the back of my chair.
Easy. Possessive without really being possessive. I liked it.
He looked at Pink. “You about done destroying my club?”
She glanced around. The room did look better. “Almost.”
“Good.”
“Why?”
“Need to get some work done with my guys that involve more than a mop and broom.”
