I swept my silent tears from my face, doing anything but scratching at my new ink on my stomach. My fingers fidgeted the closer we got to the clubhouse, but Myth remained silent.

What was I going to tell Beck?

Beck!

Fishing my phone out of my pocket, I pulled the messages up. Oh god. There were dozens. Missed calls. Messages that seemed to go on forever. A cold chill runs down my spine.

He was furious.

Opening the message thread, I look down at the last message sent.

BECK

Fuck you, asshole. I’m coming to get her. She’s not yours anymore.

What the fuck?

Scrolling up, I see the photo of me passed out on the bed with a smirking Adrian standing in front of me, and the subsequent message that led to Beck’s response.

“You asshole!”

Myth turned to me, a stormy expression on his face, before he turned into the compound and parked the car. Looking down at my phone, he smirked slightly, and got out of the car.

Pushing open my door, I round on him, ready to tear strips off him when he bends down, throws me over his shoulder and marches into the clubhouse. I scream, and belt my hands on his back to let me down. No one so much as looks in our direction as he heads down the hall and back to his bedroom.

“Asshole, put me the fuck down!”

My stomach was so sore where he had thrown me over his shoulder, but I was more enraged that he thought he could just march me around like a fucking caveman. Turned on, sure, but pissed off mostly.

Once we got to his bedroom, he threw me down on the bed and started to walk away. Oh hell no. I bounced right back up on my feet, stomping after him. Once he got to the door, he closed it, locking us both inside, and leaned against it, turning his eyes on me. I halted in my steps before I got too close, and started to back up.

I knew that look.

That possessive, devil-may-care look that usually ended up with my panties ripped to shreds and my pussy throbbing for days.

“Adrian, please…this is my life you’re messing with.”

“What life? You mean, a life away from your family and friends? One you left fifteen years ago without a care in the world? Do you forget us so easily?”

“I didn’t want to be a laughing stock while you had your cock out for any fucking female who looked in your direction. It’s not like you were home fucking your supposed wife.”

“We were fighting all the fucking time.”

“So you say fuck it…let’s get my dick sucked by my wife’s best friend?” I round on him, the hurt seeping back into my chest, causing a cavity of hurt to open up.

“I didn’t… I wasn’t thinking straight. I was scared of losing you and I knew I was losing you by that point. You never came to the club, you just stayed home doing whatever the fuck you wanted. I needed you.”

I could feel my anger slipping away as I saw the hurt in his eyes. Myth wasn’t known for his emotions, so for him to break like this, for him to admit I had been hurting him was a lot.

“Why didn’t you tell me that?” I asked.

“I couldn’t show weakness,” he answered quickly. “I had a club that needed me to be ruthless. But when it came to you, I was…”

“You were never weak, Adrian. Headstrong and passionate, absolutely, but you were never weak.”

He scoffed. “When it came to you, yeah, baby, I was. I still am.”

The revelation hit me like a tonne of bricks. I lifted my shirt, letting the cool air hit my fresh tattoo. “Is this why you did this?”
