Dimitri did not even look at him. His thumb wiped the spilled drink from my chin, then he brought it to his own mouth and licked it clean.

“You’re going to regret that little act of defiance later, little fairy,” he murmured.

I shivered, face burning.

“Promise?”

***

I never felt so alive.

The music was loud, the lights flashing in patterns across the crowded room. And Dimitri was holding me like I was the only thing he saw in this universe.

We had been dancing, his body pressed against mine, one arm wrapped tightly around my waist. Every time the beat dropped, he pulled me closer, hips rolling against me so I could feel how hard he was through his pants, and it made me go fucking insane.

Ilya was a complete menace somewhere behind us, jumping on tables, spinning his knife, and shouting unhinged comments that made half the room laugh and the other half look terrified. Alexei was not here. He rarely came to these kinds of parties. And I had invited Marco, but he had not shown up. I tried not to let that sting.

But right now, none of that mattered.

“I’ve missed touching you like this,” he said. His hand slid down to my ass, squeezing hard, fingers digging into the flesh through my pants. He had been holding back a lot because he was scared I was too frail from the wounds, but my legs were healed now. Even though I think he could have touched me before too. My legs were hurt, not my dick or ass for that matter.

His fingers kneaded my ass possessively, pulling me tighter against him.

His hand slipped lower, fingers pressing between my cheeks through my pants, rubbing circles right over my hole.

“Dimitri…” I breathed.

My body was on fire. We still had not had sex, not fully. Tonight, though, the way he was touching me felt different. Like his control was finally starting to fray.

“I want you so fucking bad,” he growled. “Want to take you home and fuck you until you can’t walk straight. Want to fill you up and watch my cum drip out of you. Want to ruin you.”

I moaned softly, pressing my face into his chest to muffle the sound.

Then, suddenly, he pulled back.

“Let’s get out of here, little fairy,” he said.

I did not even hesitate.

“Okay.”

Dimitri grabbed my hand and pulled me through the crowd. People moved out of our way, and Ilya spotted us leaving and wolf-whistled because he knew what we were going to do. I think everyone knew by the way Dimitri was moving.

“Have fun, you two! Don’t break the bed!”

He practically shoved me into the passenger seat of his car, then climbed in after me, driving like the devil.

He stopped the car, but it was not next to the mansion. It was close, pulled off on the winding road right before the thick forest that led up to it.

“Why did you stop?” I asked.

“Get out.”

My heart stuttered, but I obeyed. The second my feet hit the dirt, he was out too, circling the car.

“Reminds you of something, little fairy?” Dimitri stepped in close, crowding me against the side of the car. One hand came up, fingers tracing my jaw before he suddenly pulled a gun from his waistband.

I stepped back instinctively. Daniel flashed in my mind, but then I looked into Dimitri’s eyes and everything else vanished. He owned me in that stare.
