With my hand still massaging her clit, I turned Colony around and hungrily kissed her. When our lips met, precum oozed from my tip. I’d been waiting to feel and taste them since I first laid eyes on her, and they were everything I imagined. The sweetness from her lip gloss mixed with the intertwining of our flesh was exhilarating. I deepened the kiss, slipping my finger inside her mound. She breathed the sexiest moan against my mouth, and just as we were getting deeper into it, Kehlani’s weak voice called out to me.

“Daddy? Where are you?”

Seconds later, I could hear her little slippers shuffling across the floor. Colony and I swiftly removed ourselves from one another. I went to the sink to wash my hands while Colony started back washing dishes. Kehlani came around the corner with her bottom lip quivering and tears pooling in her eyes.

“What’s wrong, KeKe?”

Puke spewing from her mouth was her answer. I rushed over to her and allowed her to get it all out before picking her up and carrying her to the bathroom. The virus had her down bad, and it was obvious I wouldn’t be able to do a thing until she felt better.

It took me about forty-five minutes to get Kehlani situated. She refused to let me out her sight for too long, so I went to the kitchen to find that Colony had cleaned up Kehlani’s mess and finished cleaning everything else up for me. The only thing missing was her. I checked the house, but she wasn’t anywhere to be found. I pulled my phone out to call her to see she’d sent me a text.

Colony:

I’m sorry I left without saying anything. I’m slightly embarrassed for how I acted. It was out of character for me, so I apologize and hope you don’t see me differently. Give Kehlani my love. If the two of you need anything, let me know.

After rereading her text a few times, I decided to call her. Surprisingly, she answered on the second ring.

“Hello?”

“You didn’t have to leave, Colony. I was enjoying your company,” I admitted as I trailed my fingers through my beard.

“As I was you, but I didn’t need to distract you when Kehlani needs all your attention.”

“You were the distraction I needed, though. A welcomed distraction.”

My fingertips tingled thinking about pleasing Colony again. The way her walls suctioned my fingers in, refusing to spit them out, let me know she hadn’t been spread thin in a while. I would love nothing more than to be the one to change that for her.

A low moan came through the phone. I closed my eyes and exhaled. “Don’t do that, Colony.”

“Let’s . . . take things slowly.”

“How slow?”

“Like, let’s get to know one another before we decide to cross that line. As tempting as it is, I don’t want physical intimacy to cloud our judgment on anything. Does that make sense?”

“It does, and I agree with you. Whenever Kehlani feels better, let me take you out on a date. I’ll plan everything. How does that sound?”

I could hear the smile in Colony’s voice when she agreed. “Yes, that sounds amazing.”

We ended the call, and I had to get my mind right before going to check on my baby girl. Colony had me all out of whack, but secretly, I loved it. I’d forgotten how nice it could feel getting to know the right person, and Colony seemed like someone I could truly vibe with.

I hadn’t seenKeondra since that night I’d let him finger fuck me in his kitchen, and he’d been on my mind heavily. Even though we hadn’t seen one another, we talked every day. Whether it was a text or phone call, Keondra always reached out first, making it a point to let me know I was on his mind.

Something so simple had me giddy.

Probably because it’d been far too long since a man had shown me attention like Keondra did. I was partly to blame for the missing male interaction, but I had my reasons.

“Girl, who has you smiling like that?” Riley interrogated, sauntering into my office. She’d better be glad the door to my office was open from the way she came in and plopped down on my couch.

“Well, aren’t you nosy.”

“We’ve already discussed that, so are you going to tell me or not?”

“Tell her what? I want to know,” Olive stated with our lunch in her hands.

Texting Keondra back, I set my phone down and went to my connecting restroom to wash my hands. Neither of the girls said anything. They waited for me to come back, never taking their eyes off me. Out of everyone, I trusted Riley the most. Olive was a given, being that she was my best friend, but I needed to be sure no one else knew about Keondra and me.

“Close my door,” I instructed Riley. The way she hopped up so fast and almost fell had me and Olive cackling. Her ass could be so dramatic, but I loved her.
