I thought Mammon was going to be a nemesis when we first met, but we ended up friends. He knew more about Seraphim than anyone else in Hell, so he took over that part of my training. He was a brilliant teacher and decided that was his passion. He started teaching demons, and he was just so good with kids.
And my dad! Yeah, he and Lilith had definitely rekindled things. Since things were better with his brothers, they didn’t keep it a secret. They were so sweet together. When they asked me if I was okay with it, they looked like they were so worried I was going to say no, but I was happy for them.
Wrathhog and Amira were the best friends I could ask for. Amira was a fantastic politician. Hell held elections every five years, and she’d easily be reelected until she no longer wanted to run.
Hell was running smoothly for the most part. Some demons still wanted to hold on to the hierarchy, but they were outnumbered and the lower demons could fight back now. Sometimes, an issue would crop up, but for the most part, they realized no matter what they did, Hell could handle it. The Fallen didn’t need to swoop in and seize power again because they made a stink.
Amira was responsible for one thing I was very proud of and I knew meant a lot to Kujo. There were harsher punishments for demons who abandoned kids in the mortal realm. The argument from men was that they’d have no way of knowing if their one-night stand resulted in a child until the alarm went off that their magic showed up and someone figured out who they belonged to.
Yeah, every woman pointed out that tended to happen when demons didn’t wear condoms with mortal women and it was actually a super easy fix. They grumbled about it, but there wasn’t much they could do. We couldn’t exactly follow them to the mortal realm and put the condom on them, so the only way to enforce it would be the massive fine if they broke the law. We couldn’t know how many people were actually following it until any kids were old enough to get magic and we weren’t there yet.
As for me? Ilovedplaying house with three demons. I kept most of it the same, but I’d made little changes to the residence Lucifer gifted us so that it was more me. We took turns cooking, but Kujo was actually the best at it.
I’d started writing again and was making a name for myself in Hell. I agonized about using my real name or a pseudonym because people actually knew who the fuck I was here. I didn’t want people buying my books because I was Lucifer’s kid. I picked a cheeky little pen name and built myself up from scratch like I did before.
It took alotto get here, but I loved my life. It wouldn’t have been possible if I were human. It had been five years since I found out I wasn’t and I’d learned all kinds of fantastic magic. Between what Lilith and Lucifer came up with the first time they were together, I still hadloadsmore to learn. Lilith was on board with writing her spells down and making the accessible for demons so none of them could be lost or hidden again. But she also told me once everyone had taught me everything I needed toknow, she’d teach me to createnewmagic myself and I had some ideas.
It wasn’t perfect, but it was close.
