“Don’t hold back for me, husband,” I rasp.
Heat, hot and bright, and thick fills me from the inside out as he rams into me, and I unravel.
My thighs clench as he ravishes me, grabbing the back of my knee, widening my legs.
The new angle tilts my axis as he pounds into me so deeply I’m lost in him.
“Look at me,” he rasps.
I struggle to open my eyes, but I obey.
“No more running from this,” he grunts, breathing heavily. “No more keeping secrets.”
He groans and my legs shake as he moves above me
I dig my heels in, grasping for him, then he stops and I sob in frustration.
“And no more wasting time pretending we’re not all in. Time is too precious, honey. I don’t want to waste another second. I am yours and you are mine. Those vows still stand till death do us part,” he says, grabbing my hands, threading his fingers through both of them, to hold them above my head.
I gasp, arching my back as pleasure coils like a spring.
He smiles and kisses me, continuing our slow, torturous pace, and I never want it to end.
Our ragged breaths blend together, and the friction between us is almost too much to handle.
A tear rolls down my cheek. “You have to come home to me. Do you hear me? You don’t have a choice,” I say between sharp breaths.
He smiles and kisses me softly. “I’ll do my best.”
“Promise me,” I beg as he rocks into me, picking up his pace.
“I don’t make promises I can’t keep,” he groans and brands his mouth to mine, effectively shutting me up.
Right as I feel the crest, he flips us.
I catch myself on his chest, and he sits up so we’re face to face. I’ve never connected to another soul the way I do to him. Nothing else matters. It’s just me and him, the sheriff and the criminal. The no-nonsense man and the girl who brings trouble wherever she goes.
“I love you,” I whisper.
He groans as we move and our foreheads fall together.
“I love you, I always will,” he grunts.
It’s that feeling of two becoming one. It’s something cliché like the melting of metals, but there’s no other way to describe it. I am his and he is mine, and that’s how it was meant to be.
“Come on, baby, let go for me,” Ledger rasps.
I sigh, kissing him again, and he moans, and the sound urges me on.
He flips us again, and our hips slap together in a desperate run to the finish line.
Ledger gently bites the soft skin of my neck, and the flicker of heat turns into an inferno, and I willingly walk into the fire.
Ledger roars and I hold on to him until our bodies slow and our hearts try to catch up.
I finally open my eyes and he’s still looking at me.
Lifting my chin, he meets me halfway, and I savor the lazy kiss as if it’s the last I’ll ever have.
