She was ready to surrender. She loved this mon with her whole heart and wanted to give him what he deserved and what she kenned would be a wonderful experience for her, as well.

Callum shifted his body until he rested completely on hers, snuggly settled between her legs.He continued to kiss her as he placed his man part at the entrance to her body.

She took a verra deep breath, telling herself this was Callum, her husband who loved her verra much.He had prepared her body for this and ‘twould be fine.

He cupped her cheeks, his deep green eyes almost black as he stared at her.“I love ye, Donella,” he said as he slid into her body.

She tightened for a moment, then when she felt no pain, just a sense of fullness, she relaxed. It felt so good.In fact, so verra good.

“Are ye well, lass?”

“Aye.I feel strange, but fine.”

He began to move slowly, and then shifted a bit so he was able to place his thumb once again on the piece of flesh that had seemed to swell since he’d last touched it.

“Ach, Callum, that feels good.”

He grunted his answer and moved his body so he could slide in and out, giving her a great deal of pleasure. But what he was doing with his thumb was e’en better.

Once more his mouth covered hers as he moved in a rhythm so that he brought e’en more wonderful feelings to her.She wrapped her legs around his hips and pressed her body against his.“Callum, I feel as though I need something else.”

“Aye, lass.Just relax and it will come.”

She did as he said and within less than a minute something exploded in her head just as Callum pushed hard against her and pulled her close as he pumped in and out.His groan matched hers as he stiffened, and she felt warm liquid enter her body. They held each other so tight, ‘twas almost as if they wanted to meld their bodies together.

Callum collapsed and rolled off her. They were both breathing heavily, and she was covered with sweat. He pulled her close.“I love ye, wife.”

“And I love ye, husband,” she said.

After a few minutes they grew cold, and Callum reached down and drew the coverlet over them.Turning to his side, he wrapped his arm around Donella’s waist and pulled her next to him until their bodies were fitted snugly together.

Had she kenned how wonderful love making would be with the mon she loved, she would have gotten over her fears much sooner.

Almost as if he read her thoughts, he mumbled as she was drifting off the sleep, “’Twas the right time, my love.”

Old Marta arrivedat the castle two days later. The Gunns were still holed up in one of the bedchambers, but were given the best of meals and drink.Haydon still insisted on this since there hadn’t been any proof yet that The Gunn was guilty of either charge and, as a laird, he was due respect.

Callum helped the midwife from the cart that brought her to the castle. She smiled at him and patted his hand as he walked her to the keep.

Haydon met them at the door of the keep and thanked her for coming.

“Aye, my laird, ‘tis with a great pleasure that I get to see ye again.”

Once they reached his solar and Haydon requested refreshments be brought for the woman, he settled back in his chair and studied her.

“The reason we brought ye here is because we intend to confront Fraser Gunn with what ye told us the other day.He has been here for a few days now.We had intended to present this information to him, but decided it was best to hear it directly from ye.I assume ye doona have an objection to repeating yer story to him?”

“Nay.It always troubled me that Lady Gunn allowed one son to deny the other son his rightful place.”

Ainslee shrugged.“It seems to me she might have been reluctant to admit she was carrying a bairn when she married The Gunn.”

“Aye,” Old Marta said.“From what I understood, she was in love with Fraser’s da, but her parents arranged her marriage to strengthen an alliance between the Gunns and the Sinclairs.”

“No’hing strange about that,” Haydon said.“My marriage was an arranged one.”

Ainslee coughed and Haydon turned and smiled at her.Donella had told him that the arranged marriage for the laird had been between Haydon and Ainslee’s twin sister, Elsbeth. The twin was a meek woman, prone to fainting and terrified of the laird.
