"Of course not." Fia rolls her eyes and smiles. "I mean, hismemberdoesn't have accessories that rock my world."
"Good."
"Speaking of which...Fia, when are you coming over next?"
"I'm free this weekend. You're not traveling with Daniel this weekend, are you, B?"
"Nope, I'm free."
"Sounds like adate," Kass says, laughing at his favorite joke. "I'll see if the grandparents want Clover for the weekend."
God, I love these two. I love them each in different ways, but I love them both, nonetheless.
The past two years have been nothing short of a dream. Of course, we've gone through rough patches as we navigate the world of an open polyamory, but that's any relationship for you—or so I've been told. Overall, it works great for us. I live here full-time with Kass and Clover. Fia still lives in our old apartment, but comes over occasionally to have some fun with us, and sometimes just to hang out.
Fia dates other people, whereas Kass and I are mostly exclusive within our triad. Occasionally, we'll venture out and have some fun with new friends, but for the most part, we're perfectly content here.
I never thought I'd have one man who could satisfy all my needs, and I still don't. Kass meets a lot of them, but there are things that I get from Fia that Kass can't give to me, like girl talk and someone to commiserate about womanhood with. Together, the three of us give me everything I need. For now, at least. Who knows what the future will bring and how our needs may shift, requiring our dynamic to change. As long as we all love each other, romantically and platonically, and have each other’s best interests in mind, I think we'll be okay.
No. I know we'll be okay.
"So, what time do we leave next week for Iris's bachelorette party?"
