“Wow, Parker. Just wow.” The midnight blue sky, the dark ripples of the river and the twinkle of city lights clearly called to Chloe as she seemed to float ahead, drawn to the windows.

“You like it?” He took off his jacket and tossed it onto one of the couches, unbuttoning his shirt cuffs, then down the front. He wanted Chloe to take off his clothes, but he also didn’t want to wait to have her glorious naked body pressed hard against his.

“I love it. It’s a million-dollar view.”

“It’s 2.4, but who’s counting?” He mumbled and he stood right behind her and placed his hands on her hips, kissing the back of her neck as he drew the zipper of her dress down to her waist. Every brush of his skin against hers was so heavenly, it made him hard as a rock from the wordgo.

She turned in his arms, clutching her dress to her chest. “Oh. Your shirt is off.” At first she sounded surprised, but the look in her eyes spoke of her appreciation. Her touch as she rolled her fingertips over his shoulders told him everything else he needed to know. She wanted him just as badly as he wanted her. As she slowly unfurled her arms and let her dress slump to the floor, he drank in her exquisite curves. Every swell so luscious and begging for his touch. She smiled. “Now we’re even?”

“Almost.” He loved seeing her in his apartment, flawless and naked and vulnerable in front of a huge window. She’d let down her guard again and it was such a damn turn-on to know that she trusted him That she cared more about being with him than about being appropriate or doing what others expected of her. He shucked his pants and finally, he had everything he wanted right before him.

“Your bedroom?”

He shook his head. “In a little bit. Right now I want you here. Right here.” He lifted her up, his fingers sinking in the luxurious flesh of her butt as he thumped her back against the wall next to the window. He positioned himself at her entrance and drove inside, sending a message, strong and forceful. Chloe wrapped her legs around his waist and he marveled at how perfectly they fit together, how completely she wrapped him up in her unspeakable warmth. Her hands clasped his neck, urging his mouth down to hers. The kiss was hot and wet, just like Chloe. Parker felt like the luckiest damn guy in the entire world.

He slid one hand to the small of her back, pressing hard to make her arch into him. He dropped his head, taking one of her pert nipples between his lips, sucking hard and looping his tongue. He felt her body tighten as he tasted her, a rich reward for every bit of pleasure he was giving her. The blissful pleasure was building in him fast, and as good as this was, he knew he could do better. He knew he could go deeper.

He pulled her close and lifted her body from against the wall, turning and taking a step, then setting her down on a desk that was more for looks than actual work. He loosened his grip on her and she eased back, propping herself up with her arms. It gave him the most mind-blowing view—Chloe’s breasts gently bobbing as he drove into her again and again. He made every stroke count, long and hard and slow. The pleasure was so immense it was difficult to wrap his mind around it. So he didn’t try to think. He instead studied the beautiful look on her face as her eyes drifted shut and she dropped her head to one side and soft moans left her luscious lips.

“Are you close, Chloe?” he asked, amazed by just how rough his voice sounded.

She nodded, eyes closed. “So close. Ridiculously close.”

He knew exactly how to get her where she needed to go, and he slipped his thumb against her apex and began rotating in small circles, using delicate pressure. She gasped the instant he touched her there. Her eyes flew open.

“Oh. Wow.”

He felt her tighten around him. Then again. “Yeah.”

“So good. It feels so... Good.”

He smiled, sensing how close she was to unraveling, and he studied with great satisfaction that moment when she finally gave way. She tossed her head back and called out, digging her heels into the back of his thighs, right below his ass. He lowered his torso and pressed his chest against her breasts, kissing her deeply as the waves of pleasure shot through him. He unleashed himself into her in fierce and unrelenting pulses. It was as hot as anything he could have imagined. He collapsed forward, burrowing his head in her neck as she bucked against his hips a few times. Parker had a pretty big sexual appetite, but he was going to need at least a half hour before he could go again.

Chloe’s stomach rumbled and she giggled into his chest. “Sorry about that.”

“Are you hungry?”

“Starving.”

He smiled and pressed a soft kiss to her lips. “I can take care of that.”

“I have no doubt. You seem to be able to take care of just about everything.”

Chloe was slowly drifting into consciousness, but she didn’t open her eyes. Not yet. She needed a moment to wrap her mind around the way she was feeling right now. There was no mental guessing game like there had been in Miami—she knew she was in Parker’s bed. She might not have his skin against hers or feel him shifting in the bed, but she sensed his presence. She breathed in his incredible smell. And of course, there were the aftershocks of last night, still reverberating in her body. He was a force of nature, and she’d been right there in the eye of that very sexy storm.

As she pried her eyes open, she realized she was alone, so she took a moment to soak up her first view of his bedroom in daylight. It had been too dark and she’d been too wrapped up in Parker the first time she’d walked into his inner sanctum. Straight ahead from the foot of the bed was an entire wall of windows, offering spectacular views of the Hudson River. It was hard to look away from the view, but she did take her chance to peruse his decor choices. In one corner was a comfortable armchair of cognac-brown leather with nail-head trim, dressed with a gray wool throw and a dark wooden side table. Chloe could imagine curling up there with a good book on a rainy day. The walls were blanketed in pale gray, the bed dressed in crisp white and the floors ebony-stained wood. The feel of the space was nothing short of pure luxury and sophistication. Chloe was impressed, which was saying a lot, because she’d been in plenty of beautiful rooms in her life. But between the revelations at the fundraiser and everything that happened the minute they walked out of that ballroom, Parker continued to leave her in awe.

Just then, he appeared in the doorway. “You’re up.”

A smile bloomed on her face, pulling her cheeks high and her lips wide. “I am.”

He walked around to her side of the bed, looking like everything a woman could want, in black-and-gray-plaid pajama pants without a shirt, holding a cup of coffee for her. “I brought the liquid of life.”

She scooted up in bed and wrapped her hands around the mug, taking a long sip before setting it aside. “Thank you so much.”

He settled his sights directly on her. “How are you doing?”

“I feel great.” In all honesty, she felt better than that. She was relaxed, which was not her normal state.
