“Oh?” she queried.

“Knowing you’re my partner and my wife, mother to my children, and knowing that you’ll be with me every day, for as long as we both shall live!”

She grinned at that.

“As long as we both shall live?” she queried. “And beyond!” she added softly.

He smiled and his arms wrapped around her.

Yes.

She felt it.

Though their holidays did tend to be interrupted and quite different from what they’d planned . . .

Somehow, things worked out.

“Best Mother’s Day ever!” Angela whispered.

He held her close.

“Until next year!” he promised.

She laughed softly, leaning her head against him. And threading his fingers through her hair, Jackson realized it wasn’t ever a single day that made life worth living.

Bestlifepossible. Holidays were wonderful.

And life could be challenging.

They faced those challenges together.

And every day they spent together made their world the best.
