I laughed. “Well, shit, that’s a week’s worth of grocery money in some parts.”
“That’s what I said.” He gave mea squeeze. “Come with me for a second.”
“Um, okay.” I leaned down and kissed my grandmother’s cheek. “I’ll be right back, Granny.”
“Take your time, Lennonade. I’m enjoying the view.”
I grinned, following Snarl inside and back to our bedroom where he closed the door, wrapping his arms around me and lifting me off my feet.
“My, what big arms you have, Granny,” I said.
“The better to hold you with, my love. The better to hold you with.”
I grinned, kissing him.
