Alexander’s eyes locked onto hers, dark and dangerously calm.

“Since my Mia wants to learn and grow from her mistakes so badly… then gladly I’ll teach you how to be a better wife.”

Chapter 11 Silence

Mia’s eyes widened. “No— I didn’t mean—”

But her protest dissolved the moment his weight pressed her into the mattress again. He came down over her with such force that her lungs stuttered, and he swallowed her unfinished words with another hard, consuming kiss. His lips crashed into hers, claiming her lower lip first—pulling it between his teeth, sucking on it until she whimpered.

His tongue stroked her lip again and again before he devoured her mouth entirely. The kiss was frantic, hungry, swallowing her breath until she clung to his shoulders for support, trembling beneath him.

Before she could regain her breathing, he tore his tie from around his neck.

“Mr. Graves—?” she whispered, voice unsteady.

She didn’t get the chance to say another word. The fabric slid over her face, tightening around her head as he tied it securely over her eyes. Darkness washed over her vision, stripping her of any sense of control.

Her breathing trembled into silence. The room went still except for her ragged breaths and the deep, sharp pulls of air Alexander dragged through his throat.

Then she felt his hands.

He tugged her shorts down, taking her panties with them in one smooth motion, sliding the fabric down her legs. Her silk top followed—pulled upward, exposing her body entirely to him.

She felt his gaze even without seeing it—the heat of it moving over her bare skin. Slow. Consuming. Tracing every inch of her, as though he was memorizing her all over again.

“I’m going to need you to stay very still tonight,” Alexander growled softly into her ear.

He seized both of her wrists, pulling them behind her back. A second later, something cold brushed her skin—

Click.

Mia gasped as realization hit her.

Metal cuffs. Locked around her wrists.

“Mr. Graves—what… what is this?” she whispered, voice shaking as she strained against them.

Alexander didn’t answer right away.

Instead, he placed a finger against her lips, quieting her. His mouth brushed over her cheek, trailing down her jaw in slow, lingering kisses before reaching her ear.

When he finally spoke, his voice was a low, dangerous whisper.

“Since you’ve started becoming defiant… I had to make some arrangements too.”

A full shiver ran down her spine.

His tongue traced the shell of her ear, then traveled down to her neckline. He bit the skin gently—just enough to make her gasp—before licking over the same spot, soothing the sting.

“Now,” he murmured, lips barely touching her skin, “you’re going to make sure I’m satisfied with your performance tonight. And if I don’t see proof you’ve learned your lesson…” His fingers tightened around her waist possessively. “…then your punishment continues until the day I’m satisfied.”

The coldness of the handcuffs still shocked her, the metal tight around her wrists. She tried to breathe through the rush of adrenaline, forcing air into her lungs.

Then she felt him again—his body climbing over hers, hovering, controlling. His hand slid over her face, his touch soft and warm against her cheek. With her eyes covered, every sensation sharpened, making his touch feel deeper… darker.

A soft sound clicked through the air. She felt the weight of him shift, the friction of fabric sliding against skin, and realized he was unfastening his pants. The anticipation coiled tighter in her stomach.

Then, a soft sound clicked through the air.
