“I kind of did, to be honest. Or at least I hated the way you made me feel completely out of control of my emotions.”
“Same.” I nod.
“I don’t want to waste any more time, Georgia. I knew it the first time I kissed you. It was like coming home.”
“How are we going to tell Cookie and Oliver?” I ask.
“I think we should offer them a collab,” Hudson says. “They can be the faces of that new pet clothing collection, if you’ll still consider it. I’d love to help you find a way to scale and distribute your designs—without compromising any of your values.”
“Did you really come here to talk shop?” I ask.
“Not exactly,” he says, pulling me closer. “Mostly, I just wanted to tell you how much I admire you. And how much I’m looking forward to whatever the future brings.”
“So, does that mean you’ll be sticking around in Ephron, then?” I ask.
“If you’ll have me,” he says, placing another pasta ring on my finger and lapping it off.
“I will,” I say, planting a ring on the back of his ring finger and then using my tongue to clean it off.
Hudson takes the mug from my hands and positions it back on the stool before kissing me slowly and deeply.
“Welcome home, Hudson,” I murmur before wrapping my legs around him.
