I moan aloud. My dream is so vivid. Never have the memories been this intense. I can even smell Arek’s scent mingling with my own as I finally recall collapsing in his arms.

Maybe it’s knowing his body is curled against me, but I feel like I just ran a marathon. Feeling chilled, I frown in sleep and grab for my blanket and pull it tighter.

Closer.

Ah, that’s better.

I let Morpheus drag me back under into a safe place where everything is right in my world.

CHAPTERFIFTY-FOUR

There’s a quote attributed to Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson, British billionaire, entrepreneur, and business magnate.

As I sit in my office tonight contemplating the world, I find it fitting. “If your dreams don’t scare you, they are too small.”

Dreams are everything. Grab hold of one and don’t let it go.

My mind is reeling.

Did that just happen?

All I heard when she started moaning was, “Arek,” Then, I clued into what was happening when I heard her needy voice beg, “Please.”

Now, I’m wrapped around her because she pulled me close after she dreamed about me taking her.

My thigh is slid between hers. I can feel the dampness lingering between her legs.

Me. It’s been me she’s dreaming about.

Gently, so I don’t wake her, I reach down and yank her blanket over both of us. Brushing her hair back from her magnificent face, I whisper, “Sula.”

Her lips curve upward. She tucks herself closer.

My heart flutters.

My cock aches.

There isn’t a chance in hell I’m moving away from Sula until she starts to stir.

I’m holding heaven in my arms and if I have my choice, I’m never letting her go.

Not again.

Not for anything.

CHAPTERFIFTY-FIVE

The social climbing event of the year is tonight—the Fair Harvard Annual Reunion. Over 600 people with degrees much loftier than yours and mine will mingle with one another, sipping champagne and munching on delicious (translation: overpriced) canapés.

Held annually at the Plaza Hotel, this black-tie event is reputed to have members of Congress, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Cabinet, as well as celebrities of stage and screen in attendance.

I have my tuxedo ready just in case my invitation was lost in the mail.
