“You like wearing boots,” Kalle says.
“Can you blame me?”
“No.” But he bites his lip, and I can tell he’s nervous. “So, Justice. Will you marry me?”
I smile. “Yes, of course. I love you now, and I’ve always loved you. I’ll love you until the day I die.”
The grin that overtakes his face makes my heart swell. “I feel the same way about you.”
He kisses me, and the crowd erupts in applause.
If this is my happily ever after, I am one lucky man.
We go upstairs to our bedroom. By the light of the fire, he strips off my clothes. Then he pauses, staring at my chest.
