“Mama mia!” I gasped, slapping a hand over my wet chest. “You scared the crap out of me.”
“Sorry.” The look of contrition on Jaxon’s face was adorable.
I peered around him into the darkened bedroom. “How did you get in here?”
“The window.”
The window. The freaking window!
Jaxon set the wine glass on the vanity. And then…he turned on me. Those grey eyes were lit with desire. My breath caught in my throat. I had just been thinking of him, my midnight stray. And here he was already here.
As if he knew I would summon him.
Crap. Did that make him something supernatural? Something bad?
There was no time to ponder the sequence of events; he was on me in a heartbeat. His palm slid up my neck, catching the side ofmy jaw while his thumb wrapped around the front of my throat. There was just enough restriction to dominate me.
He kissed me hard.
Any hesitation vanished. The feel of his mouth consumed me. It was possessive, full of passion.
I gasped for air.
Jaxon pulled back enough to grin down at me. His smile was hungry. Feral.
“Spread your legs.”
A marionette to his command, I obeyed.
“Touch yourself.”
My fingers slipped between my legs. The wetness wasn’t just from the shower.
“Talk to me. Tell me everything you’re thinking,” he growled as he released me and stepped back.
I slid my fingers back and forth. “You do this better.”
My observation elicited that rough, gravelly rumble in his chest.
“Are you saying you want me to join you, bella?”
“Yes,” I breathed.
His hungry gaze looked me up and down. “You’re not on birth control.”
It wasn’t a question.
The fact that he knew that proved he was a thorough stalker. Something we would talk about later, when there was more blood available for my brain to create coherent sentences.
“So…what then?” I paused.
“Keep touching yourself.”
My fingers flicked my clit. “You won’t join me?”
He tipped his head to the side, considering me. “Would you like that?”
I nodded vigorously. “Very much.”
