Old Norse is a parent language to many of the Northern Germanic Languages. It is a “dead language” and there is controversy between scholars and historians about the pronunciation and use of many words.

The language used by the orkin is a combination of Old Norse, present day Icelandic, and some proto-Germanic terms. It is not meant to reflect any specific language, history, or people.

While some Old Norse mythology has inspired some aspects of the universeAbandoned on Niflheimtakes place on, there is little correlation between what I have depicted and any original texts, myths, histories or oral traditions of Old Norse and present day Northern Germanic cultures.
