“No shit? I know Faye, her father and mine were associates. Her family used to have a summer home near ours and she was part of my friend group in the summers. Holy shit it’s a small world.” He said.
“Please tell me…”
He cut me off. “Nope, she was a little too wild for me. Our never sleep with the same woman agreement is still safe.” He chuckled.
“Thank God, anyway, I met her in DC when I was new to Delta Force. We slept together but also became friends. I knew she lived a different kind of lifestyle and Gloria, Will’s mom, is a therapist. I went to her for help after our first mission went south. We talked about Natalie and some issues I was facing with never being satisfied with anything. Faye offered to take me on a trip and Gloria encouraged it. I went to be protection for Faye at first. I never could have afforded those trips, and we only took one a year or so. But then after Bolton was raped, things changed, and I became restless. I was missing something in my life. We traveled more and more the more desperate I felt. Then Faye had some issues with her sexuality and her family, so she started seeing Gloria as well. I never meant to keep it from Belle. I just wasn’t ready to talk to her about it. I did tell her that I lived a different lifestyle, but I never told her about Faye. I did try to call Faye to tell her about Belle. I felt she deserved to hear it from me on the phone and not through text. I think she was avoiding my calls for a while.”
“You’ve got a mess, Axton. She thinks you’ll never be satisfied with her and will want Faye back in time. My question to you is if that’s going to be a concern?” He asked.
“No, I’ve not even slept with Belle, but I know she’s all I need. I’ve never felt so content in my life just with what we do already. I want and need that girl, Creed.”
He tapped his finger on the table and stared at me. “Then you’ve got to come clean with her and if she needs some space then give it to her.”
“Wait, did you say my wife and my sister went to the club? Not during the after dark club opened, right?”
He looked away from me. “You have Patrick to thank, he took charge and by the time I got there they had been stripping on stage, but the club was cleared out.”
“They did what!” My voice bellowed.
“They were drunk and Kayla um…” He thought about it.
“She is probably devastated that she acted that way, same with Belle. Please tell me they didn’t see any cocks or stupid bullshit. Kayla is probably having nightmares…. hell, Belle too. I’d kill every one of those fuckers if they exposed either of my girls to that shit.”
Creed’s face was turning red again.
“You okay?”
“Yep.” He was holding something back.
“Are you fighting a laugh? This is my life, man. It’s kind of a big deal.” What the fuck was wrong with him?
“So yeah, you owe Patrick one. He controlled the situation, they both puked a lot, and he got them to the bunker and left. He was a good friend to you, although your wife kicked him in the nuts when he tried to pull her and Kayla away from the stage. You should probably thank him.”
“I will. So, what am I walking into with Belle? Is she done with us?” I was holding back my own emotions. I couldn’t lose Belle, she had no idea how much I needed her.
“Think about how she grew up, Axton. Her father had God knows how many wives. She’s saying she can’t spend her life with a man that needs more than she could ever give, and she’s been crying a lot. Kayla has been staying with her over at your place.”
“I don’t know what to think.” I was scared out of my mind.
“In other news, apparently your brother in law has the biggest dick on Creeds Lake and Felicity’s girls barely want to let him rest. From what I heard, he’s making a lot in tips.”
I couldn’t even acknowledge what he just said. Belle was hurt and that was why she wouldn’t take my calls. “Where is Belle now?”
“Somewhere with Kayla, I honestly have no idea.”
Belle
“I can hear your depends when you walk.” Melissa fell over on the sofa laughing at Morgan.
“Laugh all you want now, but in six months I’ll be laughing at you wearing children’s pull-ups.” Morgan took a seat and looked up at me. “I hate you.”
“Why?” I shrieked.
“Because look at that body. Do you realize how many people in Hollywood would kill for that body? You don’t even work out, and it’s bullshit.”
“She doesn’t hate you, she’s just jealous of your body. She’s joking.” Kayla assured me.
I was the center of attention, which I hated. Since we were still on lockdown, I needed to borrow a dress from Morgan. In fact, most of us needed to borrow a dress for the New Years Eve Ball Morgan had been planning. Thankfully, Melissa’s was special order, so she had one and so did Wrenly. Morgan had plenty from her red carpet events in California.
