“Yup, I think he’s gone.”
“Pretty sure he went home with Tarryn. Or she went home with him.”
Probably.
“Do guys do that often? Leave each other hanging so they can get laid?”
My brows go up. “Is that what you think he’s doin’?”
She laughs. “That’s exactly what he’s doin’.”
I lean my elbow on the table as I regard her. “Where’s your friend? That one you introduced me to who was trying to play matchmaker?” I can’t remember her name to save my soul. “She’s dating that guy with the strange drummer name.”
“Um, she’s getting laid. Duh.”
She’s cute.
And funny.
And the sweat glistening between her tits isn’t bad, either.
“You want a ride? ’Cause I don’t think any of these idiots are in any condition to give you one, and do you actually want to be stuck in an Uber with them?”
I clear my throat. “I’d be an idiot to refuse a ride from a pretty girl.”
“Girl.” She scoffs. “Ha.”
CHAPTER17
TESS
SINGLE. DON’T WANNA MINGLE…
My brother is gone.
He’s gone, and he left Drew without a ride.
It’s not late. It’s not even midnight. But if Grady has gone home—with a female—then he’s probably at his place fucking, and Drew will have to hear it the entire night, and that’s gross and annoying.
“I’d be an idiot to refuse a ride from a pretty girl.”
“Girl.” I make a noise in my throat. “Ha.”
He used to make me feel like a girl, but tonight, I’ve felt like a woman. Even though it didn’t feel…romantic or…overly flirty, I get the feeling that Drew is holding back for some reason.
“Give me your keys, and I’ll drive,” he offers, holding out his hand.
I stare at that massive palm; the calloused fingers, his thumb.
Shiver.
“Alright.” Yeah. He can drive. I’ll give him that.
If Drew was a sexist prick, I’d refuse him my keys, but he’s not. He lets me lead, and he lets me boss him around, but at the same time, he’s a gentleman and treats me like a sexy female.
He hasn’t made any moves. He’s way too polite for that.
But if he thinks I didn’t just catch him checking out my boobs, think again, buddy.
