She lets out a soft laugh, turning toward the water. “Come on, lover boy. Let’s not keep everyone waiting.”

But as we walk down the dock, I can’t help but think that for once, I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.

With her.

Always with her.

My Angel - Prince Royce

This is goingto be fun.

Lena’s competitive streak is one of my favorite things about her—not that I’d ever tell her that. She’s already in full swing, tossing playful jabs at Cece while her golden hair glints in the sunlight. There’s a fire in her that’s impossible to miss, and I can’t help but watch her like she’s the only thing that matters.

“¡Oye, mija!” Cece yells, planting her hands on her hips like she’s starring in her own soap opera. “You better say goodbye to your pride, because I’m about to crush it!”

Lena smirks, rolling her eyes in that way that says she’s about to tear Cece apart. “Big words for someone who nearly flipped hers last time.”

“That wasstrategy!” Cece fires back, clutching her chest dramatically. “I was just giving you amateurs a chance to feel like winners.”

Bexley crosses her arms, a smug grin pulling at her lips. “Sure, Cece. Let’s call it strategy. Totally intentional.”

Revel’s been lounging by the life jackets, but this is his moment to strike. He straightens, tossing Cece a wicked grin. “Was it strategy, or were you just showing off for me? Be honest, Cece.”

Cece spins on him, her dark eyes flashing with that unmistakable spark of Latina fire. “Foryou?¡Ay, por favor! You couldn’t keep up with me if I gave you a head start and a GPS,papi.”

Revel smirks, leaning against the nearest post like he’s got all the time in the world. “Careful, Cece. You keep calling mepapilike that, and I might start thinking you actually like me.”

Cece narrows her eyes, her smirk turning razor-sharp. “You?Pfft. Not a chance, papi. But I’ll let you keep dreaming—it’s cute.”

Revel shakes his head, grinning. “You know, Cece, your attitude only makes me like you more.”

“And your persistence,” she shoots back, smirking, “makes me wish I had earplugs.”

Wolfe, who’s been watching the chaos with a drink in hand, raises his cup in a mock toast. “Honestly, I’m just here to see who wipes out first. My money’s on Cece.”

“Oh really? Coming from the guy who wouldn’t eventoucha jet ski last time,” Cece retorts, pointing an accusing finger at him.

“Hey, I’m a spectator, not a participant,” Wolfe replies smoothly. “Someone’s gotta stay dry and keep their dignity intact.”

“You mean stay lazy,” Sayshen cuts in, grabbing a life jacket. “At least I get out there, even if I suck at it. You don’t even try.”

Wolfe smirks, unbothered. “I prefer to admire from a distance. Makes me look smarter.”

“You mean lazier,” Sayshen mutters, shaking his head as the group laughs again.

Before Wolfe can fire back, Bexley steps up beside Sayshen, wrapping her arms around his neck and flashing him a playful grin. “Oh, please. I remember the last time you took me out on one of these,” she says, her voice flirty and teasing. “And for the record? You definitely don’t suck at it.”

Sayshen’s brows lift, a cocky grin spreading across his face as he wraps an arm around her waist. “Yeah?” he says, his tone dripping with that smooth confidence that only Sayshen can pull off.

“Mm-hmm,” Bexley hums, her eyes sparkling as she leans in closer.

He smirks, his hand dropping just low enough to slap her ass lightly. “Good to know,” he says, biting his lip as she laughs and swats his chest.

The banter keeps flying, everyone throwing their best shots, but my focus keeps drifting.
