It took several hours and many bodies to break down the site. It hadn’t felt like this much work when we were setting everything up the night before. Once we had everything in piles, ready to be hauled off and put away, we hopped in my SUV, and I drove to the house. It was the last house on the east side. It was farthest from the main buildings and barns, but the view was amazing.

Everyone jumped out and took in the exterior of the structure. It was almost done. The electricians and plumbers still had to do finishing touches, and then it would be painted. I figured another month, and we’d be ready to move in. Kyle andI had put off picking out furniture, but maybe that had been a good thing. Now we could choose it together.

Kyle led the way inside, and Chloe and Matt spun around. It was better than the last time I’d stopped by, but it would be a lot nicer when it was completed. The hardwood floors were rich, and the stone fireplace was a staple.

“This is gorgeous, Hunter. Kyle, tell us about it.” Chloe tucked herself under Matt’s arm and listened as Kyle gave the specs of the house.

“Four rooms, two bathrooms, open floor plan for the kitchen and living room.” Kyle looked at me, “I’m glad we did the four rooms now.”

“Me too.” I nodded.

“You guys picked a good layout. Nice job on the fireplace. Can’t wait to fuck Greene in front of a fire during the winter.” Matt squeezed Chloe to his side, and I laughed. That thought had crossed my mind many times.

“We can expand if we want to. I guess we can start moving in and see what needs to be done from there. The master is fucking huge, as expected, but I’m not sure it’ll fit all four of us.” I rubbed my chin.

“We’ll make it work. Plus, we have the other rooms.” Chloe pointed at me.

“Or we can knock down a wall.” Kyle grabbed Chloe’s hand and gently tugged her into his arms.

“I’m with Chloe. We’ll make it work.” Matt smiled at me. “Please tell me you picked out a huge TV.”

“Nothing has been ordered yet. We can do that together.” I glanced at each of them in turn, and as we all smiled, I threw my arms out as a test. A group hug was exactly what we needed, and everyone came together without another word. We moved Chloe to the center as she was the center of us now.

“We love you, kitten.”

“I love you guys too.”

“I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives with you, sweets.” Kyle kissed the top of her head.

As we walked through the house, we started throwing ideas out for each of the rooms and what styles we’d all like.

“So what do you think?” Kyle asked.

“I just finished planning a wedding. Can I please not plan anything else for at least a week?”

“Maybe one day you won’t be the one planning the wedding, but the one enjoying it.” Kyle smirked at Chloe.

“What?” Chloe squeaked. We all smiled and laughed. We weren’t in any rush, but I could picture Chloe being a beautiful bride for us.

“Dibs on her taking my last name,” Matt shouted and then darted out the front door with us chasing after him, ready to start our future together.
