He nodded. “I want to make this work, City. I want you in my life, and if that means making changes to create space for you, I’m more than willing to do it.”

“Me too, Jensen. I love that we’re opposites, but that those opposites attract. Let’s do it. Let’s commit right here and now to doing whatever it takes to make this work.”

He pulled me in for a kiss. “Good, because I’ve already talked to the town council about changing the sign. I even offered to carve a fancyone for them.”

“What sign?” I asked against his lips.

“The one as you pull into town.”

I remembered it from the first day. “Oh yeah? Change it to what?”

“Garnet Bend. Population 2519.”

That sounded absolutely perfect to me.
