“We don’t have to decide anything now. Let’s just hang out for a bit longer and see how it all goes,” Harlan advised. “If Piper wants to settle here then you can consider it.”

Raider nodded and took a long pull of his beer.

“Are you two going to get married again?” Waylen asked as he moved the cue ball to better set up his shot.

“Er…not exactly.”

“What does that mean, Raider?” Kian demanded.

“Well…I never signed the divorce papers.”

“Say what?” Harlan stared at his friend. “You never signed them?”

Raider shook his head. He’d never been able to bring himself to do it.

“Holy shit!” Harlan started to laugh. “What are you gonna tell her when she starts talking about another wedding?”

Raider shrugged. “I’m gonna do my best to distract her.”

Kian burst out laughing. “Good luck with that one, buddy. Women are all about the weddings.”

He was not wrong. Raider knew at some point he’d have to tell Piper the truth but maybe he’d wait until she was over the moon happy first, and he had a few ideas on how to make her that way.
