And I can’t wait to build a family with my wife.

Chapter 18

“What the hell was that?” Gabi asks, lifting her head from the mirror to look at the door where the loud noise of the guys’ cheering came from. “Are they watching a game or something?” A groan leaves her lips. “Men. I mean come on, it’s my wedding. They couldn’t have waited until later?” She shakes her head, dropping her eyes to the mirror to fix her hair.

A smile creeps on my face, knowing the noise wasn’t because they were watching a game, but because Lucas told them we’re going to be parents.

“What the hell were you doing this morning?” Leila asks, trying to fix my smudged makeup.

“I bet they were fucking,” Gabi adds with a smirk. “You guys are kinky, aren’t you?” she asks, tilting her head at me, which I reply with a scowl.

“Shouldn’t you know the answer to that?” Rosie asks, letting out a laugh. “You walked in on them once, right?”

Gabi groans, meeting my eyes. “Twice.”

Leila pauses doing my makeup, turning to face Gabi. “Twice?”

Gabi nods, and blinks at me. “They were fooling around in the bathroom last night.”

“Damn,” Leila says, lifting her brows. “That’s hot. I didn’t know you guys were like that.”

My cheeks heat up and I roll my eyes. “Oh, please. You guys are on your second baby. Like you can talk.” Leila lets out a soft chuckle, and returns to doing my makeup. “Besides, Gabi didn’t see anything. She walked in when we were already done,” I add with a smirk.

“Believe me, I did. It’s burned into my mind. I’ve talked to my therapist about it. It’s scarred me for life,” she says, a disgusted expression taking over her features. “When you guys were dating in college, I walked into the living room and saw skin and heard moans, and I swear I blacked out,” she says, groaning. “It was traumatizing.”

Leila snickers. “I kind of thought that would be something you enjoyed.”

“Seeing my best friend who’s practically another sister getting fucked wasn’t high on my bucket list,” she adds.

I arch a brow. “I’m practically your sister?”

She gives me a dry look. “That’s all you heard?”

I nod, letting out a chuckle. “Gabi’s being so sweet today,” I joke, seeing her lips lift into a smile.

“I’m always sweet,” she says, leaning back into her chair.

Leila hums. “This weekend you’ve been kind of bossy,” she says.

Gabi’s brows furrow. “I have?”

“She’s a bride,” I say. “It’s normal.”

Gabi lets out a scoff. “Exactly. It’s normal,” she repeats. “Besides, you were worse than I was at my wedding.”

“How was I worse?” Leila asks with a laugh.

Gabi tilts her head. “Your wedding planner quit three weeks before, and Madi had to take over,” she says.

Leila rolls her eyes. “She was weak,” she says, turning back around to apply some powder under my eyes. “If you’re going to work with brides, then you need to have a backbone.”

Gabi snickers, shaking her head, and Leila pulls back, reaching for her phone, which is vibrating beside her. When she opens her phone, I notice the sad look on her face.

“Talia?” I guess, imagining it’s hard for her to leave her baby so soon.

Leila nods, letting out a sigh. “My mom’s texting me updates and pictures and… I miss her so much.”

“I can imagine,” I say, reassuringly.
