“How much of this isverified?” Seer wondered to Vex, ready to return to the swamp immediately.
“I assume all of it.”
“Do the Quantum Kings know what’s happened?” Lore asked.
“About to find that out,” Seer said, opening his phone. “Gonna call Dr. Harlow.”
“I’m calling Nidev,” Vex said, pulling his phone out.
“Dr. Harlow,” Seer greeted a few steps away.
“Uhhh Samuel,” he remembered. “How can I help you?”
“Have you seen the news.”
“Tell me,” he urged, his tone dropping a notch.
Seer barely shook his head. “Brother, I thinkseeingit is the only way to properly capture what’s happened.”
“Jesus, hold while I add Quantum to the call.”
Seer updated his companions as he paced next to the cathedral sized window, watching the rain coming down in sheets.
“Quantum, I have you on three way with Samuel. He’s got news updates.”
“I’ve seen,” Quantum said with an ominous tone. “I’ve neuro-linked with all major news outlets and set alerts. They began blaring this morning.”
“Andwhenwere you going to tell me?” Harlow wondered.
“After ensuring our brother and guests were safe. As well as wait for the full report to finish. I’ve been getting alerts every fifteen minutes. We have a couple hours before Kaphas’ next birthdaycelebration.You want to do this now or after?”
“I say now,” Seer put in.
“Agreed,” Dr. Harlow said.
