All the blood rushed out of my face as I blinked at him. “You’re joking.”
“I’d never joke about you putting your hands on me. Itwasa bit of a surprise when you put your hands on the guy I was dancing with. Especially since you were the one who wanted to keep things a secret.”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, back up a minute. I was dancing with some guy?”
“Uh…no. You shoved a guy off me and got all up in his face, ready to rearrange it.”
“Over you?”
A burst of laughter left Travis. “Gee, thanks. Stroke my ego a little more, won’t you? I’ll have you know that in most circles, I’m a catch.”
“I didn’t mean that.” And of course he was a catch—you just had to look at him to know that. “I just… I got violent with someone?”
“Yeah.” Travis smiled. “It was super hot.”
Or seriously fucking stupid. “Were you the only one who saw me?”
Travis opened his mouth, but the amusement twinkling in his eyes made me curse.
“Who else?”
“Everyone.”
“Motherfucker.”
“I think they’re leaning more towardbrotherfucker. But I could be wrong.”
I shot to my feet, and the room only swayed a little before I began to pace, scrubbing a hand over my face as though it could erase whatever stupid things my mouth had spewed the night before.
Hell, maybe my head in a toilet bowl would’ve been the better option.
“I mean, I wouldn’t worry too much about it,” Travis said. “So they know you and I?—”
“Want to fuck?” I whirled around just in time to see Travis widening his legs, and struggled to keep my eyes on his face.
“There it is.”
“There’s what?”
“The words I’ve been waiting all night to hear you say again.”
Again?Wait, I’d told him I wanted to fuck him last night? I narrowed my eyes, and he pushed up from the couch, crossing over to me.
“You don’t remember that either, huh?”

“Or telling me you were a virgin?—”
