Will

Iwas a confident man, especially where women were concerned. Self -assurance was something I’d been born with, and I always used it to good effect. Waiting for Maya, though, I felt like I might be sick with nerves. I had no idea what the hell was wrong with me. I’d met the woman once, spoken to her for a few hours and yet was acting like a lovesick teenager.

The coffee place we were meeting in was rammed, and I’d been lucky to grab a table that became available just as I was served with my drink. It was also opposite the door, so I would have a good view of Maya walking in.

Five minutes later, when she did, I wasn’t prepared for the sight of her. She looked amazing when I’d met her, but my mouth dropped open as she headed inside. She was wearing tight jeans tucked into brown knee high boots, a tan-coloured polo-neck jumper and a short brown leather jacket. Her bag was slung across her body, and her hair was pulled into a high ponytail, and she looked beautiful. I was already thinking things that I probably shouldn’t. Mainly about her wrapping her legsaround me while I fucked her. When she grinned and waved, I felt my heart speed up.

“So sorry that I’m late. I got stuck talking to my neighbour.”

“No problem.” I stood up and pulled out a chair for her. “What do you want to drink, I’ll get it for you.”

She glanced at the menu of drinks and then turned back to me. “Cappuccino please.Withchocolate.”

Her eyes twinkled, and I couldn’t help grinning. “I’ll be right back.”

Five minutes later, I was putting a large mug down in front of her. Maya immediately picked it up with both hands and took a sip. She closed her eyes and sighed.

“Ooh, perfect.”

Yeah, she really was. “It’s nice in here. Do you come in here often?” I asked.

Maya giggled. “That sounds like a cheesy chat-up line.”

“Oh, I’m full of them.”

She studied me and then her beautiful face melted into a smile. “I bet you are.” She shrugged her jacket and bag off and turned to hang them on the back of the chair. Her jumper wasn’t skin tight, but moulded to her body, showing off the perfect curve of her tits. I wondered what her nipples were like, if they were pink or brown, big, or small. When she suddenly burst out laughing, I was snapped out of my daydream.

“What’s so funny?” I asked.

“Just something Morgan said.” She took another sip of her coffee.

“Morgan is the one getting divorced, is that right?”

Maya tilted her head on one side and grinned. “You remembered.”

“I remember a lot about you and Saturday night.” And I did. Especially her perfume. I’d even looked it up on line but stopped short at buying it because that would just be weird. Shewas wearing it again, and I knew that it would be forever my favourite smell from then on.

“Same here.” Beautiful green eyes shone over the rim of her mug. “How was your daughter’s sleepover?”

I scrubbed a hand over my head, rubbing it, as if I could erase the thoughts and worries. “Boys were involved.”

Maya raised her eyebrows. “Boys?”

“Yeah, well, one boy in particular.” I grimaced. “He’s a nice kid, though, which makes it worse.”

“Really? Oh dear.” She picked up her spoon and scooped some of the froth from the top. When she slipped it into her mouth, her tongue flicked out and seductively licked it before darting back behind plump, pink lips. “Handsome, is he?”

I shrugged. “It appears my daughter thinks so. His dad is a surgeon and his mum and dentist.”

“Good stock.” She winked at me. “So, what’s your problem?”

“She’s my little girl. That’s the problem.”

Maya’s laugh sounded out, mingling with the chat in the coffee shop. “Unfortunately, Will, Maddy has to grow up at some time. She can’t stay seventeen forever.”

I was amazed that she remembered everything about my daughter. I could only hope that I’d been as memorable to her.

“I know you’re right,” I groaned. “It just feels shit.”
