She lifted her eyes back up to meet mine, and I cupped the side of her face.

“This angel face, stuffed with my cock, is the prettiest damn thing I’ve ever seen.”

A smile tugged at her lips as she continued to work her mouth over my throbbing dick. I brushed her hair out of her face, not wanting to miss a moment of how she looked while sucking me off.

“That’s it,” I groaned. “Fucking amazing.”

I was already close. Having her ride my dick had brought me to the edge, and this was about to finish me off.

“I’m gonna come, baby,” I warned her.

I expected her to move back and use her hand, but she sucked harder. Her gagging as the head of my cock slid down her throat was it. My hand fisted in her hair, and I thrust my hips, shoving it even further, no longer in control of my body.

“FUCK! FUCK!” I shouted as my body shook.

My eyes stayed glued to her as she swallowed it all. Every jet that shot out of me. Her fingernails bit into my thighs. Another shudder ran over me, and I wasn’t sure I could feel my legs.

I was still gasping when she lifted her head, letting me pop free of her mouth. Blue eyes stared up at me with a twinkle of satisfaction in them. If I could breathe, I’d laugh at her smug expression. She had every right to be. She’d just given me the world’s best blow job.

Her pink tongue darted out to lick her lips for anything it might have missed. The simple action had me transfixed.

“Come here.” My voice had a thick, husky timbre to it.

She stood up, and I slowly took in the view of her gorgeous body in nothing but panties. I wanted to grab her and haul her to my room. Put her in my bed and keep her there. With me. Forget this other shit.

Reaching for her hips, I pulled her to me and placed her in my lap, then buried my face in the curve of her neck and shoulder.

“Goddamn,” I muttered against her silky skin.

A small laugh bubbled out of her, and I tightened my arms around her. Fucking her wasn’t going to get her out of my system. It would just make this—or rather, me—worse. My soul felt as if it had started pacing impatiently. A deep rumble vibrated in my head. Warning me that I’d better protect, claim, own.

But how was I supposed to do that when, right at this moment, her father was being taken underground to be beaten and tortured for information? What if my desire for her was so damn strong that I had missed the truth? What was I going to do if she was guilty?

Her fingers sank into my hair, and she ran them through the thick curls. I closed my eyes as she soothed whatever disturbance was unraveling just beneath the surface of my sanity. I turned my head just enough so that I could see her arm. The dark purple-and-blue handprint that circled her soft skin seemed to speak for itself.

Royal needed me. She trusted me. As if reading my mind, she curled her body in closer to mine, and the side of her plump tit pressed against my chest.

I was going to have to make a choice. Unlike any I’d ever made before. One that I’d been raised to never consider. Because the family always came first.

A soft purr came from her as I ran my hand down her back. The scent of vanilla and honey was all I could smell. She turned and slipped her arms around my neck, then laid her head on my shoulder.

“I could go to sleep like this,” she whispered.

I continued to caress her back.

I’d feared this from the beginning. No, that wasn’t right. I’d feared being attracted to her and getting distracted.

ThisI hadn’t been prepared for.

“Go to sleep,” I told her, then kissed the side of her head. “I’ll make sure you are tucked in bed before I leave.”

Her warm breath tickled my skin as she laughed softly. “I’m not very good company. I don’t know why I’m so sleepy all of a sudden. But you—” She yawned, wiggling against me. “You feel safe and warm.”

It took every ounce of my willpower to keep from standing up and leaving this house with her locked in my arms. I couldn’t do that. But I wanted to. I wanted to take her and run. Run until no one could find us. Run until all the truths didn’t matter. Until it was just us.

“I won’t let anyone or anything hurt you,” I told her, knowing she had no idea the lengths I would go to in order to make sure she was safe. Even if it was from her own crimes.

No one was going to hurt her again. Not even my family.
