“Does he play in the league?” Levi prods.
“He’s English,” Molly says, crossing her arms around herself protectively.
Fuck.
“You know people in England?” Knox frowns as he turns to me.
Jesus, read the room brothers.
“Not really. Anyway, did you have strippers at your bachelorette party?” I ask Payton as a complete pivot attempt.
I know the answer.
“No. They did not.” Knox punches my arm, and I groan, laughing.
He knows I know the answer too.
We logged into his security cameras, and they were sitting around munching on snacks in what looked like the most boring bachelorette party in history.
Someone was crying.
We could see no cleavage and Molly had her back to the cameras.
Huge disappointment.
“Strippers!” Jamie screams and dances around my legs.
Jamie is my niece.
“Atlas! I am going to kill you,” Bella, her mom, says as she rounds the corner munching on a sandwich.
I glance at Blake, and he quickly looks away.
Last time she was eating on the run like that she was pregnant. Between the Dufort’s and Montgomery’s, we are breeding enough to double the damn population.
“Hey Payton.” Bella says, kissing her on the cheek. “Happy wedding weekend.”
The two of them have become great friends and more than once joked about how Payton thought she was Knox’s girlfriend instead of sister.
“So...” Leilani claps her hands. “Tomorrow, we have our Montgomery-Dufort Thanksgiving celebration. Daniel, Hunter, Fletcher, and the girls will be joining us. The Philly based family will be joining us later in the evening. Then the big day on Sunday, Payton. Wow.”
Payton leans against Knox’s body and he wraps an arm around her, kissing her upturned mouth.
Molly and I glance at one another and I’m not sure why.
Except I want to fucking kiss her.
And throttle her.
“Let’s get you all settled in. Dinner will be at seven.” Leilani directs us to our rooms.
“So does this Greg guy play football in England?” Levi asks as we wander upstairs.
