He growls. “I can think of a few ideas.”

I push him away. “You’ll have to catch me first.”

I run toward the stairs but glance over my shoulder to make sure Flynn is following. He’s not only following. He’s gaining on me.

Oh goodie.

Chapter 26

I’ll take one pirate. No parrot required.

Flynn

Iwatch Sophia run toward the stairs. I wait a few seconds before giving chase. She giggles when I reach her and pull her into my arms.

“Oh no.” She widens her eyes. “The big bad pirate Flynn caught me. Whatever will he do to me?”

“Pirate? You want me to be a pirate?”

“Eye patch? Yes. Creepy parrot on your shoulder? No.”

“What about a wooden leg?”

She pats my hard cock. “I think we have the wood part all handled.”

“You better stop petting him.”

She lifts her brows in challenge. “Or what?”

Or he’ll want to keep you forever.I’llwant to keep her forever. I can barely stay away from Sophia as it is. I want to spend all my time with her. I want to hear her laugh as often as I can. I want to spend every morning waking up to her in my arms.

I’m falling for my temptress. Shock ripples through me. I’m falling for Sophia.

I don’t know why I’m surprised. I’ve wanted her since the first time she kissed me on the day of her high school graduation. I’ve lusted after her at every holiday dinner. At every drunk poker game.

But this is more than lust.

Crap. I need to tell my best friend I’m falling for his little sister.

Not now. Now I have a warm and pliant woman in my arms. I throw her over my shoulder and she squeals.

“Oh no! The pirate has captured me. Where is he taking me?”

“I’m taking you to my bedroom to have my wicked way with you.”

She shivers in my arms. I love how responsive she is to me. She can’t deny she wants me. Not ever again.

“I hope I can please the pirate and he will release me again.”

I’m not letting Sophia go. She’s mine. She doesn’t know it yet. She has her doubts. And I don’t blame her for those. But I’ll convince her. I just need more time.

I kick open the double doors to my bedroom. I usually spend the night in Sophia’s room but no longer. She needs to know this is where she belongs.

“Oh, I’m in the pirate’s lair,” Sophia murmurs as she studies the room.

“And you should be very, very frightened.”

She wraps her arms around my neck. “Whatever is the pirate going to do to me?”
