“Shit.” Nikolai growls before lifting himself from the sofa. He sniffs the air making a loud sound with each inhale. “I get to feast on her pussy first,” Nikolai says. Nikolai lifts me out of Dirk’s clutches and takes me into his arms.
I look between the two when Dirk stands to his feet. Dirk has a cocky smirk on his face. “I think we should let the lady decide!” His right brow arches upwards with his words.
“Ahh—, I—” my voice trails off when rapid knocking begins at the door.
“I know Kassidy’s in there,” shouts Leelayna from the other side of the door.
“Yeah!” Anita’s voice joins in. “Whoever you are, my friend better me in one piece.”
“Open the fucking door this instant,” Octavia and my other friend’s mutterings join in.
The sound of my friends’ voices splashes me back into reality. Oh my God! What have I let these two men do to me? I have to get out of here. I sprint to the door and click the lock before Dirk’s voice reaches my ears.
“You can’t run from destiny, Kass.”
“You are meant to be ours. Now that we have found you, we are never letting you go,” Nikolai adds. The boldness from their words scares the hell out of me. I just need to get away from their great awareness before I submit to their proposed foolery.
“What’s going on in here Kassidy? Are you okay? Do we need to call the police? Fuck the police! Do we need to kick anybody’s asses for hurting you? I took taekwondo when I was in high school.” My friend’s various voices greeted me.
“Let’s go. I just need to get out of here,” I tell my friends.
Leelayna attempts to enter the room, but I push her back.
“I’ll tell you all everything when we get in the car,” I promise them.
The sound of footsteps sounds behind me. “Go!” I shout and take off running like the boogeyman is chasing me. My friends follow close behind fussing along the way.
A ringing sound penetrates my sluggish state and I pop up in bed. Got damn it—it was all a dream!
