My hand was grabbed by a warm one. I sharply turned to come face to face with Nic. His deep gaze told me he was disappointed in my departure after I’d promised to stay.

“You left,” he commented as he laced my fingers with his. “Why?”

“Was going to head upstairs to pack. I think I’m going to get a flight out in the morning to head home,” I informed him with a shrug. Nic didn’t seem the most pleased with my answer. I was supposed to be staying for the entire weekend. “Thank you for inviting me and for everything.”

“Don’t leave. The fun is only getting started,” he tried to convince me. I shook my head as I unlaced our fingers and went to turn away before Nic stopped me.

“Layla, you’re here because I wanted you here. I was drawn to you when I first saw you in San Francisco. I don’t know what it is about you, but fuck … the memories of you were too much to bear. I had to have you come here. I want to give you a weekend you’ll never forgot.” Nic’s face took on this intensity that should have scared me, but only drew me in more. What was it about him that kept me so drawn and unable to turn away again? “How about we make a deal? A little game.”

“What kind of deal?” I questioned.

“You were all into that craps game earlier. I’m not much of a player, but being from Vegas, I’m fairly okay at it. The deal is, if I lose, I’ll book you on the first flight back to San Francisco and you can go home with no strings attached, just my appreciation that you came. If I win, you’re mine for the entire weekend. Every inch of you will be mine in ways you’ve never experienced. When the weekend is over, you’ll go home satisfied.”

I thought over his offer. I didn’t know why, but it didn’t strike me as odd, but instead quite the opposite. I was intrigued and wanted to know more. I wanted this weekend of satisfaction in a strange way.

“Okay,” I answered as I wondered if I’d made some colossal mistake. It was too late now as I stood shaking his hand in the hallway we’d occupied alone.

With his hand on my lower back, Nic led me back toward the private casino room. People were having a great time as they gambled at all the tables set up throughout the space. Nic and I approached the craps table I’d been observing earlier. He dropped a handful of chips on the table. I’d spent my time trying to understand the objective of the game, but it wasn’t quite connecting with me.

Still though, I watched as Nic placed his bet and took the dice into his hands. He rolled them, and the entire table flew into a rumble of applause, he’d apparently won. I couldn’t believe it. Nic wrapped his hand around my waist and leaned in, his lips brushing against my ear.

“Get ready for the time of your life,” he whispered, and I shivered. What exactly had I gotten myself into.

Nic gathered his winnings from the table and instructed me to come with him. I did so, following him to the donation table where guests who won were able to donate their winnings to the cause. Nic dropped his chips in the bucket proudly before his arm draped around me and he pulled me along with him.

We left the room behind and soon we were in a small hallway that housed an elevator. Nic pressed the button and the door instantly opened for us.

“After you,” he motioned. I stepped into the elevator. There was only one button in the elevator with the letters, PH that Nic pressed. “This is my private elevator to my penthouse suite.”

As with the other elevators in the hotel, we zoomed up all the floors until we arrived at the very top floor. The elevator opened into another dream. The place was decorated modernly, and the circular living room was surrounded in glass. The view of Las Vegas was breathtaking.

“Come, sit,” Nic said from a black leather couch. I was too much in awe of the view I hadn’t noticed him sit.

I was nervous as I sat down with him. Nic’s personality was dominating, yet sensual. I was floored by the man whom I worked for. He had this power about him, he allowed to control any room he stepped into.

Nic sat closer, but I slightly shimmied away. I didn’t exactly know what he wanted with me, but there was no doubt I was drawn to him.

“What do you want?” I asked him, my voice quiet. I inched my bottom on the couch to give myself distance from him once more.

“What do I want?” Nic asked with a light chuckle as he drew closer to me. His hand grabbed my chin roughly and brought my face to his. “What do I want? Hmm…” he played around with my question. “What I want is to have every bit of you. What I want is to leave every inch of you withering in pure desire. With your word, what I want is to give you a weekend of pure unadulterated lustful salvation.”

Nic brushed his lips over mine. A shiver ran down my spine and deep to my core. Was I crazy for the answer I would give? Yeah, I was crazy as hell. I moaned as he strengthened his grip on me, and I gave my answer.

“Yes,” I answered in a heated whisper. “Yes, I want that.”

This was some real Fifty Shades shit, but I was all in. After all, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.”
