Reclaiming What’s Mine

Khadejah’s eyes met mine when she answered the door. My eyes searched hers and I just wanted her to invite me inside.

“Hey,” I said sliding my hands deep in my pants pocket. “Can I come in?” I asked once it seemed like she was just going to stand there with her arms crossed over her plush bosom.

Khadejah gave me a hard look before she took a step back and opened the door wider for me to enter. I swept past her and stood in the center of a small but immaculate living room. The walls were painted in shades of rose and cream.

Khadejah was a vision standing before me in nothing but a pair of cotton shorts and a navy blue tee shirt, but she was still the most beautiful woman I ever laid eyes on standing there in casual wear.

“Are you free to speak with me?” I held my breath and awaited her answer.

“I suppose so. Regina went to visit her family, so I have the apartment to myself for a couple of days,” she revealed.

My breath expelled in relief and my heart started to rapidly beat against my chest. “Do you want to go out and get some dinner? We can talk over a meal or something?”

“Okay, it won’t take me but fifteen minutes to get dressed. Do you want something to drink while you wait?”

“No, I’ll call in to my favorite restaurant to get us a table, so we don’t have a long wait while you get ready.”

“Alright,” she turned and walked out of the living room. My eyes stayed glued to her well rounded ass. The way it jiggled beneath the thin cotton of her shorts made my cock hard as steel. Stop it, Seth, I silently scolded myself before unclipping my cell phone at my waist to make the call but not to a restaurant. There is a change of plans. I need to be with Khadejah alone. My patience has run out.

A thick layer of moistness hinted in the air. “You don't have a driver tonight?” Khadejah asked when I helped her into the SUV.

“No, I felt like driving tonight. There has been a change of plans. I hope you don't mind. We will be dining at my home tonight. The meal will have arrived by the time we get there I informed her.

“I assumed we were going to a restaurant,” she glanced over with a nervous look in her eyes.

I paused as the sound of Thunder rumbled across the sky. “I wanted to be alone with you,” I truthfully admitted. “Is that a problem for you?”

“Um, no. We are both adults. I can handle being alone with you for a little while,” Khadejah replied and nibbled on her bottom lip.

“Great,” I said closing the passenger’s side door once Khadejah was safely inside after I had snapped the seatbelt around her waist. It took everything in me not to lean over and swipe my tongue across her plump lips.

Jazz music from the CD player accompanied us on the drive to my home along with the rain. The rain had picked up by the time I pulled up in my driveway thirty five minutes later. The thick, ominous clouds overhead made the night even darker. I was thankful for the well-placed spotlights that lit my landscape. I pressed a button on the console to open the garage doors and pulled in to park.

“Stay put,” I warned Khadejah when she attempted to open her door.

“Thank you,” she said when I opened the passenger side door and helped her out.

I pressed a code in on the side door, and we entered through the kitchen. I noticed my housekeeper had done what I asked when I saw the china and cutlery placed on the kitchen table with candles lit for the lightning. The food was also laid out.

I ordered Chinese takeout. I hope that's okay with you,” I took Khadejah's jacket that she shrugged off upon entering along with her handbag and placed it on a coat rack near the door.

“I love Chinese food,” she turned and gave me a small smile. My heart hammered against my chest. “May I use your bathroom. I want to wash my hands.”

“The bathroom is out that door, down the hall to your right. Second door on the right.”

“Thanks,” she said and walked off.

I shrugged off my suit jacket, hung it on the rack, stripped off my tie, and rolled up my shirt sleeves before strolling over to the kitchen sink to wash my hands. I popped the wine cork and poured us each a glass before Khadejah made it back into the kitchen.

“Your seat, my lady,” I teased and held a chair out for her to sit.

“Thank you. Everything smells delicious,” Khadejah said after I took a seat across the table from her.
