“That is kind of funny. Wouldn’t it be cool if we could convince one of them to write about us?”
“What do you think they would call the story?” she asked, humoring me.
I shrugged and put an assortment of cookies on my plate.
“Something like Chocolate and Vanilla could work.”
“Uh, no!” Kelly said, amusement tinging her voice.
“I’ve got one,” a voice I didn’t recognize suddenly chimed in.
Glancing up, I saw a short woman with skin the exact shade of caramel approach the table. She picked up a plate but stood, staring at us.
“I wasn’t eavesdropping, I swear,” she said. “I’m K. Monique. I just joined the set recently.”
Kelly introduced the two of us, then asked, “So what’s your title suggestion for our story?”
I looked at the author with interest, genuinely wanting to hear what she’d come up with.
“I was thinking something like…” She paused for effect. “Pose for the Camera.”
Kelly and I looked at each other, both of us clearly impressed. Imagine if she actually wrote it.
