“Thanks for…letting me walk you to your car.”
He laughed at the same time I did, realizing how awkward his words sounded. The vibe between us lightened.
“Well,” I began with a sigh. “I should hit the road. See you in a few days for our next shoot.”
That lady-killer smile of his was back.
“You bet. Drive safe.”
He waited until I was inside, then shut my door for me. I forced myself not to look at him as I drove away.
The beach shoot had been a nice warm-up, an introduction of sorts to me and Jase’s on-film chemistry. But this shoot, a playful day on the beach, was mild compared to some of the other themes on the itinerary. Oddly enough, I wasn’t intimidated by getting hot and heavy with Jase on camera. I looked forward to it.
