Chapter 3
Elijah
A few days later, I’m sitting behind the large, uncluttered desk in my home office when a soft knock sounds on the door. “Come on in,” I call out, knowing exactly who will be on the other side.
Piper walks in wearing skin-tight leggings and a white tank top, a black hoodie tied around her waist. I’m glad that she can feel so casual and relaxed in my home. But it doesn’t seem to matter what she’s wearing, she always looks like temptation personified. When she sits down in the chair across the desk from me, my cock hardens at the glint of sassiness in her eyes.
“You know what day it is,” I say. “It’s been a week. You’re everything I want and more.” I slide a piece of paper across the desk. “Here’s a new contract.”
She takes it and glances over it. My jaw clenches as I watch her finger trail down the paper the way I want it to trail down my chest. The past week, I’ve realized I want Piper for more than just a nanny. She has a spirit and vivacity that makes me want to engage in someadultplaytime.
Trying to distract myself, I explain the contract, “This contract has you working full-time until Bella starts kindergarten next fall. At that time, we’ll renegotiate the terms. For now, I want you living in the house with us.”
“I want two nights.”
“Two nights?” I repeat, suspicious.
“Yes, two nights a week for myself.”
“Of course, we’ll work out a schedule so you have time for any hobbies or activities you want to participate in.” Things like dating. I wonder if that’s why she’s being so specific with her request. My jaw clenches at the thought of Piper with another man. I know I don’t have the right, but that doesn’t seem to matter to the blood and temper rushing through my veins.
“I’ll expect you to keep male guests out of our home.”
“Or, you could give me a room with a separate entrance,” she teases, her eyebrows raised and lips pursed.
My teeth grind. Her sass makes me hard as a rock. It’s all I can do to keep from dragging her over the desk and claiming her mouth, body, and sexy mind for my own. “We’ll work something out.”
“I’ll be happy to sign the contract once you’ve made the changes.”
“Fine.” Suddenly, I feel like turning things around. I want to make Piper a little frustrated, maybe even a little heated.
Narrowing my eyes at her, I lean back and undo my tie, slowly pulling the silk from the knot. “How do you like working for me, Piper?” I ask casually as I drape the tie over my shoulder and unbutton the top of my shirt.
Her pupils widen and her cheeks get rosy as she watches the show.
“Do you like being here?” I drawl.
“Everything’s great,” she stammers.
But I don’t expect her discomfort to last. She’s the kind of woman who doesn’t let things throw her off game. Sure enough, a second later she sits up straight and crosses her legs, business-like as if we’re going into negotiations. My eyes immediately drop to her thigh and the thin fabric of her leggings stretched over it.
“You aren’t feeling tied down?” I say, my voice getting deeper the more turned on I get. “I know you like your freedom, but I’ve found that knowing your limits is the best way to feel truly free.”
“I’m not sure I’ve found my limits,” she responds, flipping her hair. “Do you know your limits?”
Just when I’m about to say “fuck it,” throw her on the desk, and eat her pussy until she’s hoarse from screaming my name, Bella bursts through the door.
“I finished my homework!” She runs to Piper and gives her a hug before running around the desk to jump in my lap. “Can we play a game?”
“What should we play?” I ask, already guessing the answer.
“Hide and seek,” she says enthusiastically. “You and Piper can hide and I’ll be it. But you can only hide in your bedroom or my bedroom. And you have to hide together. Okay?”
“Okay, pipsqueak.” I boop her nose. She’s almost impossible to say no to. “I can play for a couple rounds but then I need to do some work before dinner.”
“Thanks, daddy. I’ll count over here.” Bella stands in a corner of the room and covers her eyes. “One, two…”
