“It’ll be her choice, of course,” I said, surprised at how protective Oscar was of her. I’ve never seen him like this. “If she’s interested, we’ll give her a non-disclosure form. If she even tells one human friend of hers what we were doing to her, our empire collapses.”

“And if she says no?” asked Oscar.

“Then we’ll respect that, but she won’t be able to stay away from me for too long,” I said, remembering her blushing furiously as she sat next to me during brunch. We were irresistible to her as she was to us. “She almost has the appeal of an omega, wouldn’t you agree?”

“Almost,” said Oscar. “But she’s not. She’s human, and we can’t rut her like an omega. She doesn’t know what to expect from our knots, and it would hurt to see her cry in pain.”

“Oh, Oscar,” I sighed. “When did you get so soft? She’ll be able to handle it. We’ll give her full warning.”

“I doubt that,” he said, turning his gaze back to his phone.

I shook my head. It was typical of Oscar to ruin my fun. If it wasn’t about girls, it was something else, but his heart was in the right place. Leaving my cold coffee on the table, I headed back into my office to find the NDA document for our new maid. I didn’t want to hurt her, so I would make sure Iexplained everything correctly and how long the knot would last inside her.

My cock was hard as fuck as I rifled through the papers. By tonight I’d have her tight, willing pussy bucking underneath me as I rutted her. I squeezed my cock, “Soon, buddy. Very soon, and she’ll be ours.”

Chapter Nine

BREANNA

As I rode to work the following day, I rehearsed over and over again in my head how I would quit this job. Every time I thought about it, the more my heart tightened with physical pain. Something about being around those alphas was intoxicating.

And exciting.

It was like I never wanted to leave them.

Rubbing my forehead with exhaustion, I realized I was probably turning crazy. I had no reason to feel any type of attachment at all. They were my employers, and I was only there to work.

“Thanks for the ride,” I said to the driver, and he nodded. I wondered where he went after he dropped me off. Either way, I wasn’t going to be here any longer, so I shouldn’t be worrying.

Today, I wore a new outfit I’d bought from the mall yesterday, even though I’d have to eventually change into the lingerie the alphas had for me. I wondered for how long I’d get away with them not discovering that I was a beta and not human.

If they ever found out I tricked them, there was going tobe hell to pay. Alphas were controlling by nature and didn’t like surprises. I shuddered to think what would happen to me if they found out.

Walking to the front door, I greeted the doorman as usual, but I was surprised to see Zaff walking towards me from underneath the giant chandelier.

“Hello, Breanna,” he greeted, shaking my hand. I took his hand, but he held it for a moment longer than necessary.

“Hi,” I said breathlessly, obviously still very affected by his presence. He wore another one of his suits that clung to his body very nicely. His black hair had an extra swoop over his forehead and shined under the natural lighting of the gigantic living room.

“I need you to come with me to the office,” he said in a serious voice.

I immediately wondered what the heck happened. Was I in trouble?Oh well, it would make it easier instead of me quitting.

“Sure,” I said timidly, walking behind him as he led me toward the office he shared with the other alphas. He pushed open the heavy wooden door, and sure enough, Ruston, Chad, and Oscar were sitting behind the giant desk with grim expressions.

Oscar looked particularly pained to see me, and my heart deflated just a little bit. I thought he would at least greet me with a smile, especially after what happened between us. Maybe he was completely disgusted by me.

“Guys, say hi to Breanna,” Zaff said.

“Hello,” mumbled Oscar, not meeting my eyes, and now my stomach was twisted in knots. What the hell did I do to him?I never asked him to finger me on top of the dryer machine.

“Hey,” said Chad, smiling at me. I smiled back and felt relieved that maybe they didn’t have bad news for me.

“Am I getting fired today?” I asked straight out, and the alphas chuckled as I swallowed nervously.

“You’ll know soon enough,” said Zaff, pulling a paper out of the filing cabinet and taking a chair next to me. He spun his chair around until our knees touched, and I jumped at the sudden contact.

“Sorry,” I said, my face heating from embarrassment when they all stared at me. “So…umm, what’s this?”
