Thomas’ scent is like a protective shield around me.

I need my Alpha.

I need to be knotted.

Please…

I shudder, skimming my hand over my heated skin to soothe myself. When I graze over my nipples, they harden.

I snatch away my hand, forcing myself to clutch onto the blankets instead.

How can I distract myself from the pulsing need between my thighs?

My vision is hazy, but I glance around myself, curious.

This is where Thomas sleeps.

This is where he’s lain at night, surrounded by paperwork, as he’s chatted with me.

Is this where he’s jerked off to thoughts of me like I have to fantasies of him?

Thomas could have put me in a guest suite. It’s what I was expecting. I wondered if he had an Omega Chamber. But he’s chosen to share his own bedroom, which is personal.

Intimate.

Why?

Does he truly trust me that much?

By Traditional rules, by placing me in his own bed, he’s treating me like a bonded First Omega, rather than a defective Reject who he’s merely helping through their heat.

My heart clenches.

Why am I wishing that I could be bonded to Thomas?

A Snake could never survive in a elite pack.

I’m going to enjoy this fantasy, however, while I have it.

I roll around on the silky sheets, giving a deep purr. Then I blink when a long, white cat hair tickles my nose.

I trace my finger over the hairs that are caught in the bedding.

So, Thomas really does have a cat.

Thomas has used his expensive suits to build the walls of a nest around me. They’re moss colored and they make me feel like I’m cradled by nature.

Then when I roll to the side of the nest, I find myself cradled in the wings of the largest peacock stuffie that I’ve ever seen.

My purr deepens.

I run my hands over the peacock’s silky iridescent tail that’s woven with ribbons.

I rub my cheek down its soft, downy neck.

It feels sensory and amazing on my skin.

Is it Thomas’? Special to him?
