Chapter 13 - Maddox

It seemed unfair that we got first-class flights while Lacie and the rest of the team were back in cattle class. I’d never considered that before, but watching Lacie walk down the aisle of the plane towards the back made me frown. I looked around for an empty seat near me, but they were all full. And as much as I could turn on the rock star charm, I wasn’t sure I could get a free first-class seat out of it.

It wasn’t a long flight, though, and I knew I’d be taking Lacie up to my suite at the Ritz-Carlton in New York at end of the day. That thought alone would carry me through the flight.

I could hardly contain myself anymore. I had to have her. Tonight, in my suite, I would make her the queen that she truly was.

Halfway through the flight, I saw Carter get up from his seat. He had a devilish expression on his face, and he disappeared into the bathroom behind me. I thought nothing of it, until I heard something. I turned my head, craning my ears over the sound of the engine.

Were those moans I heard? I shook my head, putting on my headphones and starting a movie. Whatever Carter was doing in there, it sounded like he was enjoying it. Or maybe, I was so focused on Lacie that I was hearing women moan everywhere I went.

By the time we landed, I was wound up so tight I just wanted to pull Lacie into bed with me. I found her at the baggage carousel.

“Come to the Ritz with me,” I growled. She turned towards me, her green eyes gleaming.

“I already have a room, thank you very much,” she grinned.

“At the Ritz?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.

Lacie laughed. “Not quite. I’m only a lowly makeup artist, remember?” She spotted her bag and I helped her pick it up before interlacing my fingers in hers.

“You’re coming with me,” I said. “I’m holding your bag hostage.”

She smiled and nudged me with her shoulder. “If you say so.”

I got in the first cab I could and pulled her beside me. I didn’t even know where Garrett and Carter were. I’d see them tomorrow. Right now, I had more important things on my mind.

My hands flew to her, pulling her close and tilting her chin towards me. I kissed her hungrily. Her hands ran over my chest, leaving trails of sparks in their wake. By the time we made it to the hotel, my whole body was on fire.

I couldn’t stop touching her as I checked in, running my hands up her side, over her ass, along her spine. She leaned into me, and as soon as the woman at the front desk handed me my room key, we ran to the elevators.

We were all over each other in an instant. Her hands were around my neck, pulling me down towards her. I wrapped my arms around her slim waist and pulled her close. My hands drifted all over her body, memorizing every curve.

By the time we made it to the top floor, I was panting. Garrett, Carter and I had the entire top floor to ourselves. We each had a suite overlooking the city. I found mine and unlocked the door with trembling hands.

“You nervous?” Lacie asked with a gleam in her eye.

I glanced at her and laughed. “No, why?”

“You’re shaking. It’s okay, I often have that effect on people. I’m pretty intimidating. I think it’s the height.”

She stood tall, with the top of her head coming to chest-height and I laughed. I pulled her inside and ran my fingers up her spine, tangling my fingers into the hair on her nape. I tilted her head up towards me, grinning.

“Intimidating, eh?”

“I can tell you’re scared.” She ran her fingers along my jaw, tracing it back towards my neck. My heart was thumping. I crushed my lips against hers and kissed her harder than ever before. By the time I let go, we were both out of breath. She fell away from me, lifting her eyes towards the suite for the first time.

“Holy shit,” she breathed. “This place is incredible.”

She ran forward, spinning around the huge living room and walking towards the windows. She looked back at me with wide eyes. “Everything is so shiny!”

I laughed, glancing at the chrome and marble and glass around the room. “I guess it is. I’d never noticed that before.”

“I need sunglasses from all the glare in here,” she laughed, shielding herself form the huge chandelier above. I grinned, going to her and pulling her down to the long leather sofa. She giggled, falling on top me, with her legs across my lap. I brushed the strap of her dress off her shoulder, kissing her collarbone and groaning.

“You’re the sexiest woman I’ve ever met,” I growled, inhaling the scent of her skin. She nuzzled her head into my neck, kissing me gently. I traced the neckline of her dress over the soft curve of her breast as I groaned. My fingers pulled at the ties in the front of her dress until it fell away from her chest. I palmed her breast, feeling her shiver against me. Twirling my thumb over her nipple, I pinched it gently. She whimpered and my cock throbbed.

“I love it when you make that sound,” I growled, pinching her nipple again.
