Page 144 of Knot Her Fight

Tristan whispers to Serena, petting her hair. She tucks herself closer to his chest, shaking. Beside me, Spencer’s scent takes on a crackling, electric edge.

“Her Omega has been traumatized,” he intones, watching her with heavy sadness in every line of his face. “She was locked up before, all alone. No toys or aftercare. I’m not surprised her Omega doesn’t want to speak, especially right now. She’s been taught to associate heats with extreme distress.”

Jonah’s purr kicks up, triggering mine. “She—” He swallows, the sound thick, “She told me how scared she was. I didn’t think that her Omega could be worse.”

Tristan isn’t deterred, though. “Can they come in, baby?” he asks, nuzzling her bare, shimmering shoulder. “I promise they’re going to help you, too. They all love you, omega. Just like I do. They can make you feel just as good with their knots.”

He drops his voice into a whisper. “I bet they’d even let you bite them if you want to.”

She clearly does. Her heavenly perfume pours into the nest, a visible gush of slick slipping down Tristan’s balls to pool under them. He groans, leaning his forehead into hers.

“Good girl,” he praises. “Feels so good every time you do that, omega.”

Jealousy and need and just… heartache rage through me. And for a second, I’m untethered.

Then I remember.

You bow to her.

I let my knees go out, falling to the floor. Bending my head in supplication.

Jonah and Spencer follow suit, each lowering themselves behind me. When I chance a glance across the room, she’s staring right at me. The recognition lighting her eyes might be the sweetest sight I’ve ever seen.

“Alpha,” she breathes. She looks at Tris and starts to squirm, those green eyes flashing back to me. “Mine.”

They’re words. Her Omega, finally speaking to us. To me.

Tris nods, carefully sliding her off his deflating knot. “Yes, sweet baby. He’s yours. We’re all yours.”

I’m about to fucking crawl to this woman—and I don’t even care. All that matters is that light glowing in the thin band of her irises.

Seeing me, knowing me, wanting me.

Needing me, I think—because, fuck, her perfume has never been this incredible before. Just breathing is enough to start a frenzy, my blood thrumming faster the closer I get.

When I jump into the nest and pick her up, her scent slices. Carving down my throat, giving me the exact kind of pain I like most. “That’s it, kitten,” I moan, gathering her into my body. “Fuck, you hurt so good, baby.”

She whines, looking lost as she skims her dazed eyes over my throat. Tristan comes up behind her, his hands cupping her shoulders while he levels his gaze on mine. “She wants to bond with you now. Are you ready?”

Um.

Fuck, yes.

Spencer scowls, muttering the way he does when there’s a shitty equation he can’t solve. “There are health benefits if we all wait until the end of her heat. Though, with her perfume this strong…”

Serena whimpers, and Tristan nuzzles her hair, murmuring, “Shh, it’s okay. None of them are saying no, baby. We just need to decide what’s best to keep you taken care of.”

To the rest of us, he sighs, sadness clear in his eyes. “She’s terrified we’ll all leave her.”

Jonah muscles his way around our pack leader, cupping his enormous hand at the back of Serena’s head. “Manamea, I will never leave you,” he whispers.

When he looks at each of us, his decision is all over his face. “She needs to feel all of us with her. Once we’ve bonded, we’ll be able to show her how we feel and help her feel secure. I don’t want to make her wait.”

Thank God.

“I can’t wait,” I bite out, bending to lick a path up the unmarked side of her neck. “I need my claim on this omega. Now.”

She bucks and whines, nodding hard. Spencer’s face softens. He reaches between all of us to hook his fingers under her chin, looking into her eyes.
