After saying a fast goodbye, I make my way back to my truck, feeling more excited and determined than I was before.

She’d agreed to a date, but there was something else he needed to take care of before tonight.

Getting back to the clubhouse a few minutes later, I seek out Snake but can’t find him anywhere so I head to my room for a shower.

Before getting in, I call Snake’s phone hoping that I’m not disturbing him.

“Hey,” I say when he answers, keeping my voice low. “I need you to pull the footage from the alley camera behind the cafe. From the other night when that man grabbed Kimmie and send it to me please.”

There’s a brief pause on the other end before Snake responds to my request, a bit more serious now. “You think there’s something we missed?”

“Maybe,” I reply, my tone cautious. “I just want to make sure I didn’t overlook anything before tonight.”

“Got it,” he replies. “I’ll send the footage over to you in a few minutes.”

“Thanks,” I say, ending the call.

A few minutes later, my phone buzzed with a notification that I had received the camera footage. Not wanting to get caught up in it right this minute, I head into the bathroom to get a quick shower.

An hour later, I’m ready to go and head out the door. I’m standing in the parking lot debating on whether I should take the SUV or my bike when I hear my Prez’s voice beside me.

“Where are you off to all cleaned up?” He asks and I know he doesn’t mean it in a joking kind of way. The way some of the other club brothers would mean.

“Got a date.” I grin, turning to look at him.

“That’s great, brother! Happy for you.” He claps me on the shoulder. “What restaurant will you go to?” He asks and my eyes go wide.

I didn’t think that far ahead and my heart starting to race.

“I...I...” My words are not coming out.

“Hey, calm down. It’s not that big of a deal. Take her up to Blackcat Bar and Grill. I’ll call and let Bear and Sara know to expect you two.”

“Thanks, Prez.”

“You’re welcome. You know, that’s the first time I’ve heard you trip over your words in a couple of weeks. This woman is definitely having a great influence on you.” He says.

“You know, the longer you stay married to Mina, the more you begin to sound like her?” I say with all seriousness but he just laughs.

“Have fun for once, Ringo.” He says over his shoulder as he walks inside.

Looking back at my bike, I decide to take it. I want to know what it feels like to have her pressed against me as we fly down the road with the rumble of my bike under us.

It doesn’t take long to get back to the cafe and I walk in right as she is clocking out.

“I’ve got Remmy! You two go out and have some fun!” Bella waves as we both turn back to the door.

Walking outside, I go over to my bike, lifting a helmet from the saddle bag.

“We’re riding the bike?” She asks with surprise.

“Is that okay?” I ask.

“Yes. I’ve never been on one though.” She steps closer and I put the helmet on her head, fixing the clasp.

“There’s not much to it. Just wrap your arms around me and lean when I lean. You’ll do fine.”

Getting on first, I turn and help her to get on behind me, showing her where to put her feet. A few minutes later we’re flying down the road to Blackcat and I’m looking forward to spending more time with her.
