“I would like to press charges. He brandished a gun, he stole from me, he defaced my business.” I say strongly.
“Very good. Are there any additional actions that you would like to take?” Officer Jones looks to Shaw.
“I would like Connor to come in for questioning, since it’s his cousin, I want to hear what he said or did to make these actions happen. And I want to be there.” Shaw says.
“We’ll make the call. I’ll have patrol pick him up tomorrow morning for questioning. I will call you as soon as he’s on his way.”
“Thank you. If it’s all right, my lawyer will be present with me. Since I have an open custody case, I want to make sure that everything is locked and loaded, just in case.”
“I’m sorry you guys are having to go through this.” Officer Jones closes the file in front of him and stands.
We all stand at the same time.
“Hey, exes be crazy.” Janet says and eases up the tension in the room.
