Oh, here it comes. I wait for her to crush tonight’s endeavor.

“I’m sorry, I don’t like sleepovers,” there’s nothing sorry about her voice.

“Oh,” he sounds surprised. “Well then, I guess I should get going then, let you get some rest. We should hang out again.” The guy optimistically says.

“Yeah, totally, we should.” She’s lying.

They walk down the hall and I hear the front door open, some mumbled conversation, and the door closes.

I open up my door just as she enters the hallway. She jumps and presses her hand to her chest.

“Jesus Christ! What the hell? I didn’t know you were home.”

“Where else would I be at this time?” I smirk crossing my arms and leaning against the door.

“Oh man, I didn’t even think. Did you hear anything?” she asks.

“You mean tonight’s conquest?”

She slaps her forehead. “He seemed nice.”

“Oh yeah, so nice that you brought him home?”

“Oh honey, if you saw him, you would have done the same thing. Too bad that he didn’t really shine in the sheets.”

“That’s not what it sounded like.” I laugh.

“You know that I excelled in theater, right?”

“You’re horrible.”

“You love me.”
