"I mean, it's not something I can eat. But if you want to get it for me over breakfast, I don't mind."

"Okay. It's something you want me to get you."

"Yeah," she says. "It is technically something that a man gets a woman." I stare at her in confusion. What the hell is she talking about?

"Okay." I stretch the word, hoping she’ll explain. "So are you going to tell me what you're talking about or..."

"Well, I was thinking..." She lies on her side and runs her finger down my chest toward my cock. She idly plays with my penis and I feel it growing harder in her palm. "Ooh," she says. "Good morning, mister." She leans down and kisses the tip and I groan. What is this woman doing to me?

"Are you going to tell me what you're looking at or are we going to fuck or…?"

"I was looking at rings, silly." She stares at me as she leans over to kiss me and snuggles into my arms.

"Sorry, what?" I blink at her.

"Engagement rings." She kisses me again and stares into my eyes. "Now that we're lovers, I was thinking you should make an honest woman out of me."

"Sorry, what?" My heart thuds as I stare at her. Is she being serious?

"Do I have a budget?" she asks. "I mean, traditionally it should be three times your monthly salary."

"What should be three times my monthly salary?"

"The amount you spend on a ring. So how much do you make per month? Or rather, I should say, how much do we make per month?" She laughs like she’s in on some joke.

"Skye, what are you talking about? What is going on here?"

"Do you make ten grand a month? Because then the engagement ring should be thirty grand, but..."

"Skye, what engagement ring?"

"Our engagement-ring-to-be." She taps me on the tip of the nose. "I am so excited. Now that we've made love and all, I figure our relationship is moving in that direction.” She shimmies back and forth. “Going to the chapel and we’re—.” She sings pushes her finger in my mouth.

"What?" My jaw drops.

“Why do you look like that Kingston. Can I call you my King. My future hubby. My baby daddy with the big bank account. Didn't you say that..."

I grab ahold of her hand. "Skye, we had one night together where we both drank copious amounts of wine and had some fun. That doesn't mean that we're getting engaged.” The panic in my voice is clear for her to hear.

"What? You're not going to make an honest woman out of me like Max did with Lila? I mean, wasn't that what your conversation was about the other night, that…" She pouts and bats her eyelashes. “I thought this was real. I thought this was fate. Serendipity. I thought there would be a documentary on Netflix about out love.”

“Skye!” Is this a case of fatal attraction?

She bursts out laughing then and shakes her head.

"Oh my gosh, I totally had you going. You should see the look on your face."

My eyes narrow as I take her in. "Is this meant to be a joke?"

"Of course it's meant to be a joke. I knew you would wake up thinking and worrying that I would think that just because we made love, I was expecting something from you. But I'm not, so you don't have to worry about it. Frankly, my dear, it was just so-so."

"Excuse me?" I stare at her, blinking.

"It was fun, but I would give you a seven out of ten.” She wrinkles her nose and yawns.

"You would give me a seven out of ten?" I stare at her.

"Yeah. You came kind of fast."
