“Um…” I said as I looked down. “How do I do that, exactly?”

“Show me.”

“My…my vajayjay? You want me to put my phone…down there?”

His phone was still on his hand, moving over his dick. “Avery.”

His voice sounded so raw and hot. I drew in a breath and slowly moved the phone down my body. I spread my legs and heard him moan. The sound vibrated over my body.

“Touch. Yourself.”

Trying not to giggle, I glanced at my bedroom door. It was unlocked, but it was too late to get back up now, and I knew my parents would be asleep.

My hand traveled down my body, and when I slipped my finger inside myself, I gasped.

“Are you wet?” he whispered.

“Yes. I am,” I replied, adding another finger and moving my hand at the same rate as Beck’s.

“Jesus, Avery. I want to taste you.”

My head dropped back, and I moaned.

“Let me see your face. I want to see you when you come.”

Dropping my phone, I fumbled for it as I kept moving my hand. I could hear the wetness of his own arousal, and I knew if I touched my clit, I would explode.

I looked into my phone to see his face. He looked so fucking good. His eyes were dark with pleasure, and I couldn’t help but smile. Something inside me bubbled to the surface as I asked, “What are you thinking about?”

He gulped. “You. I’m picturing being inside of you. Touching your body as I learn what makes you feel good.”

I nodded. “I like that. I mean, I would like that.”

He managed a grin. “Your…turn.”

“Well, I’m picturing my fingers as your—”

A knock on my bedroom door had me letting out a small scream. I hit End on the FaceTime and frantically got up and started to get dressed.

“Avery?” My mother’s muffled voice came through the closed door. “Who are you talking to?”

“Shit, shit, shit!” I whispered as I pushed one leg, then the other, into my sweats. My T-shirt was on backward but there was nothing I could do about it.

“Hold on, Mom!” I called out, heading to the door. Before I opened it, I glanced at my phone to make sure I had, indeed, ended the FaceTime.

With a deep breath in, I opened the door and saw my mother look past me and into the room.

“What are you looking for?” I asked.

“I thought I heard voices.”

Turning on my heels, I started back into my room and climbed into my bed. “You heard my audiobook. I couldn’t sleep.”

She nodded. “Oh, that explains it then. What time did you get back home?”

I shrugged, trying to keep my breathing even and controlled. “Maybe an hour or so ago. I saw Uncle Brock, Ty, and Tanner at the bar. Uncle Brock even talked them into letting in Josh and Nathan.”

Mom laughed. “Did you have fun seeing your friends?”

“It was okay. I don’t really have much in common with them anymore.”

She sat down on the bed. “That’s not surprising. You were gone for a few years. Everyone grew up and changed.”

“Yeah,” I said with a nod. “Why are you up? Surely you didn’t hear my audiobook down in your room.”

“No,” she said with a smile. “I woke up and checked to see if you were back. I came up to grab an extra blanket and heard muffled voices coming from your room.”

All I did was nod.

She stood. “Well, I’ll let you get back to your audiobook. Is it a good story?”

“Um, so far it is.”

“That’s nice,” she said, leaning down and kissing me on the forehead. “Don’t stay up too late. Georgiana, Morgan, Lily, and Rose all want to see you. They mentioned going out to lunch with you and Mackenzie.”

“What about Emily? She’s in town.”

Mom looked back over her shoulder. “Of course they’d want her to come. ’Night, sweetheart. And don’t forget, your father and I will be gone when you wake up. We’re serving breakfast at the community center. We’ll be leaving here around six-thirty or earlier.”

“Okay. Be careful driving into town.”

“Sleep well.”

“You too, Mom. I love you.”

Her face beamed with happiness. “I love you too, and I’m so happy you’re home.”

“Me too.”

When she shut the door, I let out a long breath. My hands covered my face, and I stifled a laugh. Reaching for my phone, I saw I had a text from Beck. I opened it up and started to laugh. It was two blue balls.

Me: I’m so sorry!! My mother was at the door.

I waited for him to reply, and it took so long I thought for sure he’d fallen asleep.

Beck: Just got out of a cold shower.

Smiling, I typed back my response.

Me: I promise you I’ll make it up to you tomorrow.

Beck: Tomorrow? Where?

Me: I have to go to lunch with my cousins. How early can you be up?

Beck: I’m still up now.
