LYRIC

Five Years Later

“I need those files, Lyric!” Josh shouts from his office, his voice a deep, frustrated growl of sound.

I whip my head in that direction, my eyes narrowed. “Hold your horses, Cranky!” I shout back. “I’m busy.”

Jeez. You’d think the man hadn’t learned any manners at all over the last five years, which isn’t true at all. He rarely ever growls at me outside of the bedroom now. And that’s fair game. Now that he doesn’t have to try to keep his hands off me every day, he’s much more reasonable… unless he has to keep his hands off me. There’s no talking to him when he can’t touch me whenever he wants. It turns him into a giant grump.

What can I say? The man knows what he wants—me. And he hates it when he can’t have it. Luckily for him, I love it when his hands are on me so I don’t resist him too hard. We had to revoke everyone’s access to the cameras up here so no one would accidentally get their hands on footage they definitely shouldn’t see.

After five years, there’s a lot of it.

I’m pretty sure he watches the footage at his desk when he’s supposed to be working, but he’ll never admit it. Just like I’ll never admit that I stopped changing out of my soaked panties years ago just so he can discover the mess he makes in them.

“Don’t make me come in there!” he warns.

“Don’t make me come in there!” I yell back, which makes him laugh.

A second later, I hear his heavy steps against the porcelain tile behind me.

“The whole purpose of asking for the files was to get you in my office, sweet girl,” he mutters, sinking his hand into my hair to tip my head back. Amusement and frustration burn in his gaze as he dips his head, taking my mouth in a hard kiss.

I melt into it, my entire body lighting up like fireworks.

“Fuck, I needed that,” he grunts when we’re both breathing hard. “If I have one more goddamn conference call today, I’m going to snap.”

“You’re the one who told me to schedule them all for today.”

He cocks a brow. “Since when do you listen to me?”

“Since I’m going to go into labor any day with your baby girl, and your life literally depends on you being in that room with me?” I bat my lashes at him.

“Right. Since then,” he says, snapping his fingers as if he just remembered.

I shake my head, laughing quietly. The man is a menace. He definitely hasn’t forgotten. He’s been driving me nuts this entire pregnancy, just like he did with his sons. Only, he’s fifteen times worse this time around because we’re having a girl.

“Speaking of you going into labor…” He drags my chair away from my desk before spinning it around until I’m facing him. “I can help with that, baby.”

“Oh, really?” I bite my lip, fighting a smile as he carefully hauls me out of my chair and into his arms. “How are you going to do that?”

“Well…” His hand slides down my back before he grabs my ass. His other slips beneath my skirt. “I fucked my kid into you. It’s only polite for me to evict her the same way.”

“What about your conference calls?”

“Cancelled them,” he growls, running his thumb over the seam of my panties. “Told them that my wife needed me. And clearly, I was right. These little things are soaked.” He flicks them to the side, nudging my legs apart. “My wife always comes first, Lyric.”

“Yes,” I gasp as he parts my folds, his thumb circling my clit. “She does.”

His lips come down on mine again, swallowing my cries as he presses two fingers inside me, fucking me with them while riding his thumb against my clit. Within seconds, I’m trembling on the edge, eager to go over. My body is so damn sensitive. And the further along in this pregnancy I get, the hornier I get.

“Josh,” I gasp.

“Come for me, sweet girl,” he croons against my lips. “Behave and come all over my hand so I can give you what you really need.”

I whimper his name, shattering into pieces.

Before I can even come down, he spins me. “Bend over the desk, Lyric. Grab onto the edge,” he growls, already reaching for his zipper.
