“Sending your brother home. He broke the rules, and everyone knew the consequences of that before they turned up tonight.” I explain firmly.

“There’s no point fucking arguing,” Josh says, “they’ll just kick you out too, and then you won't be able to fight.”

Ryan looks torn for a moment before he surprisingly sighs and nods, “Fine, can I have a word before he goes?”

“What?” the kid exclaims, “You’re going to let him take me.”

“Just come here, you fucking idiot,” Ryan curses.

I watch with my eyes narrowed as the two of them move out of hearing distance of the rest of us and into the shadows.

“Anything Rafe?” Trick asks, seeing if Rafe can read their lips.

“They’re at a bad angle and too far in the shadows for me to make out much,” Rafe signs with a frown.

They’re back fairly quickly.

“Stop playing like fucking gods and get your pathetic ass in the ring,” Ryan growls, and when we all just stare at him and don’t bother replying, he adds, “Fucking, pussy.”

Again, we just stare at him, making him even more angry, and he just stalks back off to the fight ring. The kid who was full of anger and fight only moments ago just comes and stands near the group of guys, crosses his arms over his chest and stares into the distance.

“Frankie?” Trick says.

Frankie nods, not needing to hear the words to know what Trick’s asking him, “I’m on it.”

“Everyone get in the van,” Trick orders.

Everyone does as they’ve been asked to do and climbs in the van, all of them looking pissed off, but none of them fighting it anymore.

As soon as they’ve gone, I turn to Trick and say, “I don’t trust them.”

“Neither do I, they were definitely planning something. The kid went from ready to take on us all, to silent and willingly getting into the van without any help from any of us.” Riot agrees with a frown.

“We need to keep an eye on Ryan,” Jensen replies, and then adds, “not that we weren’t going to do that anyway.”

“We should probably warn Billy and the guys that something might be going on,” Luc suggests, and then adds angrily, “Where the fuck are they all anyway? We shouldn’t be the only ones dealing with this shit. Some of theirs were involved too.”

“Good question,” I reply.

“Last time I saw Billy, he had a girl suctioned to his face. He probably wasn’t even aware that anything fucking happened.” Riot replies with an amused smirk.

I chuckle, “Yeah, that would explain it. I’ll send him a message now and let him know that he needs to get his guys and the Tomlinson lot on high alert.”

“Good idea,” Trick replies. “I’ll let our guys know too, and tell them to start spreading the word.”

I nod and pull out my phone, texting Billy but also deciding to text some of the other guys, too; we’ve got no idea where Billy’s fucked off to, and we need everyone warned as soon as fucking possible.”

Riot

When we’ve finished letting all the relative people know, and Cash actually gets a message back from Billy letting him know that he’s got his guys on it, and they’ve cleared up the mess from the fight, so Jensen and Ryan can have their fight, we head back to the main area.

When we break through the trees to the clearing, everything is still pretty much in chaos, despite what Billy said, and I roll my eyes.

“Well, this looks organized,” Trick says sarcastically.

“We better help sort this shit out so we can get back on track for the fight,” Jensen suggests, his fists clenching and unclenching.

He’s on edge, really on edge. It’s like he’s held it together for this long, and now that it's so close, he’s starting to lose grip on it.
