“I don’t need your fucking recommendations. What I need is for you to be on point tomorrow. If this asshole shows up, we need to be ready for him.”

“Right, if Fox doesn’t get to him first.”

“I still haven’t figured out how I’m going to get him to settle the fuck down. Maybe we could drug him.”

“Drug who?”

I sighed, turning to face Fox who was walking through the door with a plate stacked with meat. “Fox, what the fuck are you eating?”

He frowned. “Pig’s tail. Yeah, I got this southern dish. Apparently, they pair it with collard greens, black-eyed peas, red beans, and kallaloo.”

“What the fuck is kallaloo?”

“Not sure. Did you know a pig’s tail is like the black sheep of the family? Not sure why,” he said, picking up a string of meat, dangling it into his mouth. “It’s fucking delicious,” he said as he chewed. “I don’t know about this other stuff, though.”

“Not weird enough for you?”

He shook his head. “Too…healthy.”

I glanced at Lock. We were so fucking screwed.

“So, who are we drugging? And do I get a part in it?”

“Actually, we were thinking maybe we’d drug you.”

He chuckled, pointing his fork at me. “I like your style. Am I going as the distraction? Cuz, I can pull that off. Ooh, maybe I could cause a scene and take out the guy stalking your lady.”

“She’s not my lady.”

“And when I smash him into the bar, it’ll be totally normal because everyone will assume I’m a drunk.”

“Again, she’s not my lady. And you’re not smashing anyone into the bar.”

“Didn’t you just sleep with her?” Fox asked.

“That doesn’t mean she’s mine.”

He frowned at me, then looked at Lock. “Am I in some bizarro world?”

“Fox, you’re always in bizarro world.”

“So, she’s not your lady, but you’re sleeping with her?” Fox questioned.

“Can I shoot him?” I asked Lock.

Fox grinned at me. “You know you love me, man. You can’t help it.”

“Seriously. I could pop one in his head right now and then say he was shot sneaking into the house. No one would question me.”

“Except Cash,” Lock retorted.

“Sure, if you want to worry about him,” I shrugged.

“Guys, I’m back! Use me.”

I ignored him and kept talking to Lock. “We could throw him out of the plane with Scottie.”

“That could work,” Lock nodded.
