“Dad, where did you get him from?”
“That bitch that tricked me and recommended him,” he muttered. “She said there was a service that protected her when she was younger, and they were good, so she called them, and I just paid the bill.”
“Women can be vultures.”
“Not all women are like that. Some can be amazing,” I answered.
My father smiles at me and so do the others. “Of course there are great women out there, but not all of us are lucky enough to find them.” He squeezes my shoulder. “Just remember I picked her out for you.” He winks.
“All I know is I want the three of them to pay for their crimes.”
“They are being charged with several crimes, but most of the charges aren’t going to land them in prison. Unfortunately, it’s just the way it is.”
“I want restraining orders on all of them,” I insist. If they violate any of them, they’ll end up in prison.
“Of course, but it wouldn’t be allowed until after they’ve been prosecuted and sentenced.” I nod and listen to their explanation of the charges. It takes another two hours before I can return to my woman.
I come home and she runs into my arms, wrapping her legs around my waist. “I’m so glad you’re back,” she says, kissing my throat and then my lips.
“I missed you too,” I reply with a chuckle. Fuck, I’m so damn hard, I’m not going to make it far before Summer ends up against a surface and my cock buried deep inside her.

“Dad, can you pass the salad?” I ask.
“Let me get that for you,” he insists, carrying the large bowl. We’re visiting his father at his house in the city. They’re having a block party with all their neighbors. Some of them know Drake, and he talks to a couple of guys. The ladies keep eyeing my husband and I want to toss the salad on their heads. “How is my grandbaby?”
“Good and kicking like a ninja.” I rub my enormously large belly, feeling the sting of jealousy even though he hasn’t given me a reason for it.
Although we teased about having babies, what I didn’t know was that my mom had put me on birth control for six months right around the time she met Drake’s father. It was a shot that was experimental and that was because she didn’t want my stepfather to get in trouble should he have screwed me early if he couldn’t wait until I fleeced Drake. She was crazy. “I hope so,” I say with a half-hearted smile. My father-in-law gives me a one-arm hug around my shoulder and my husband’s eyes darken. He excuses himself before approaching.
“Hey, don’t be trying to steal my girl,” Drake growls, coming up beside us and sliding his arm around my waist.
“Always so jealous,” I say, trying to hide the fact that my heart was in my throat a moment ago when the girls with flat abs were watching my husband’s perfect body in his shorts and fitted tee that shows his sculpted muscles.
“There’s always someone trying to win you over,” he growls against my ear, biting down on it.
“Good, son. It will keep you on your toes. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to take this salad over to your new neighbor.” That’s when I see a young woman who is probably in her mid-thirties staring our way and then her eyes land on my father-in-law.
“Your dad isn’t trying to get in my pants and that’s silly of you to even think that.”
“I’m not talking about him. The guys were asking me who the hot pregnant woman was. They thought you were my dad’s wife. I lost it. I said you were mine and had to prove it.”
“Animal.”
